IT IS A OLDER RE-PAINT THAT STILL SHINES UP NICE AND LOOKS GREAT, BUT IT DOES HAVE SOME CHIPS AND LITTLE SCRATCHES YOU CAN SEE IN A FEW PLACES ON THE BODY. THERE WAS AT ONE TIME A FACTORY SCOUT TENT THAT ATTACHED TO THE REAR SO YOU CAN STILL SEE THE SNAPS AND THE OWNER SLIGHTLY BACKED INTO THE GARAGE ON WAY OUT SO THEY DID SOME BODY WORK AND ITS HARD TO NOTICE, BUT THE PAINT ON RIGHT REAR WHEEL LIP DOESN'T MATCH AND LOOKS LIKE WHITE PRIMER. THIS SCOUT LOOKS JUST RIGHT WITH THE FACTORY HUB CAPS AND WHITE LETTER 31" TIRES AND NONE OF THESE LITTLE IMPERFECTIONS COME NEAR FROM TAKING AWAY FROM THIS TRUCK AND THE LITTLE IMPERFECTIONS ONLY MAKE IT MORE ENJOYABLE BECAUSE YOU DON'T HAVE TO STRESS ABOUT A PERFECT PAINT JOB WHILE CAMPING OR OUT ON THE TRAILS, JUST DRIVE AND ENJOY THIS ONE THE WAY THEY ARE MEANT TO BE :) INTERIOR-THIS SCOUT HAS A VERY CLEAN AND STOCK LOOKING INTERIOR. WHEN IT GOT A REPAINT THE CARPET, DOOR PANELS AND SEATS WERE PULLED AND AS YOU CAN SEE BY THE PICS THE INSIDE AREA WAS STRIPPED, PREPPED AND SPRAYED SAME COLOR. IT THEN GOT A FULL BLACK CARPET KIT. THE FRONT AND REAR SEATS WERE RE-COVERED AT THAT TIME WITH FACTORY LOOKING SIDES AND CUSTOM TOPS THAT ARE NOW SHOWING SOME AGE, BUT STILL LOOK GREAT AND ARE VERY COMFORTABLE. HEAT WORKS EXTREMELY GOOD AND THE REAR SEAT FOLDS UP OR CAN EASILY BE REMOVED. THE GAUGES ARE ORIGINAL AND ARE LITTLE FOGGY, AND WE REPLACED THE SPEEDO WITH A FACTORY PIECE FROM SUPERSCOUTSPECIALIEST.COM DUE TO IT MAKING A VERY UN-PLEASANT SOUND AT 45MPH, BUT YOU GET THE OLD ONE TOO. ONLY GAUGE THAT IS NOT CURRENTLY WORKING IS THE GAS GAUGE THAT SUDDENLY GAVE OUT AFTER THE SPEEDO WAS SWAPPED. MECHANICAL- THIS SCOUT HAS A VERY DEPENDABLE AND STRONG ALL ORIGINAL DRIVETRAIN. WE WERE TOLD IT HAS THE BIGGER 345 V8, BUT COULD NOT TELL FOR SURE IF IT IS THE 304 OR NOT. FACTORY AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION, POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKES. BRAKES WERE GONE THROUGH FRONT AND BACK LESS THEN 10K MILES AGO. THIS MOTOR HAS A FRESH OIL CHANGE AND DOES NOT SMOKE, TICK OR KNOCK, BUT IT IS ORIGINAL AND 38 YEARS OLD SO IT IS NOT AIR TIGHT IT DOES HAVE A COUPLE LITTLE SEEPS OF OIL HERE AND THERE THAT MAY LEAVE A LITTLE MARK ON YOUR GARAGE FLOOR AFTER SITTING FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME, BUT WHAT OLD CLASSIC DOESN'T :) THE FLEX FAN AND HOSES WERE REPLACED AND IT HAS HAD A REBUILT FACTORY CARB WITH MANUAL CHOKE THAT STILL PROBABLY COULD USE SOME ADJUSTING, BUT IT ALWAYS FIRES RIGHT UP WITH QUARTER PULL OF CHOKE AND A SINGLE PUMP OF GAS PEDAL. PLEASE LOOK AND COMPARE THIS TO THE OTHER SCOUTS YOU SEE, AND YES, LIKE ANY CLASSIC THAT IS ACTUALLY USED, IT OVER TIME WILL REQUIRE MAINTENACE AND ATTENTION, BUT THIS IS A HARD TO FIND AND GREAT CLASSIC TO OWN! 5 DIGIT ODOMTER MAKES THIS TRUCK SOLD AS TRUE MILES UNKNOWN AND AS MENTIONED ABOVE THE ODOMETER WAS FAULTY AND SWAPPED OUT. The older the car, the harder it is to define the condition of the vehicle. Most of our vehicles are specialty vehicles or are 15+ years old, and usually trucks. Because of this, it is very difficult to describe each vehicle to everyone’s satisfaction. Based on the bidder's personal experience, some bidders will be overly pleased with my description and pictures, and others may feel that I fell short. I post these auctions based on how I want to see auctions when I’m buying, keeping in mind what I look for, and I try to put your eye's to what I can see and touch. We are a small, independent, pre-owned car dealership about 35 miles north of Seattle. We are licensed and bonded, so bid with confidence. The majority of my vehicles come from new car dealer trades or trades that I have taken in. If you end as high bidder your are the owner! This auction is a legal contract and a $350 deposit due within 48 hours and full payment due within 5 days of end of auction. Out of state buyers have a $99 Document Handling Fee. This fee helps cover the expense of paper work involved back and forth, a $50 out of state title fee I have to pay, and a 30 day temporary tag that will also be provided. This fee applies to all buyers, including other dealers. In state buyers have to pay all state license and sales tax of 8.9% of the sale price, and a $65 document fee. The older the car, the harder it is to define the condition of the vehicle. Most of our vehicles are specialty vehicles or are 15+ years old, and usually trucks. Because of this, it is very difficult to describe each vehicle to everyone’s satisfaction. Based on the bidder's personal experience, some bidders will be overly pleased with my description and pictures, and others may feel that I fell short. I post these auctions based on how I want to see auctions when I’m buying, keeping in mind what I look for, and I try to put your eye's to what I can see and touch. Please help me by asking all questions and letting me know if other pictures are wanted. I personally drive all vehicles and check them out before listing them on eBay. I drive all cars at least 50 miles on the hwy and in city to get the fluids warm and everything working. I then check all electrical items,lights pwr motors,. etc. I park the vehicles and let them sit minimum of 30 minutes and check for any fluid leaks on the ground. If anything does not work properly I will let you know. Of course I am only human and these are mechanical creatures and these are used vehicles, so please keep this in mind when bidding. Pre Owned vehicles are sold AS-IS. Pre Owned vehicles are subject to certain wear and tear both cosmetically and mechanically. Buyers are responsible for pickup or shipping. If you wish to use a transport service I will help in any way I can, or refer #'s I have. I offer free Airport pick up at Seatac airport in Seattle for buyers flying in.
