1965 Ford Mustang K-Code In need of complete restoration. Frame rails, floor pans, trunk deck all need to be replaced. But with today’s availability of parts for classic Mustang’s it makes possible. With that said this car has the rare parts that make a Mustang a K-Code. What good is it to buy a Boss Mustang without the boss engine, the same can be said for a K-Code Mustang. This car has it. 289 HiPo Engine has correct heads, distributor, harmonic balance, and even has the exhaust manifolds. Does not have the intact manifold, but I have one that will go with car. Also does not have the carburetor. I do not know if the engine block is original but I suspect it is. Engine is not seized, can be spun over with wrench. I have not tried to start the car since I bought it. The vin number is on both fender aprons. I do have the door tag but I do not have a picture or information from it available at this time. The original color of the car is red with red interior Transmission is the correct 4 speed but has Hurst shifter and the correct 9” rear end. I do not know the internal conditions of the drive train. Please note the Export brace, Monti Carlo brace and racing valve covers do not come with the car. I added those while I was day dreaming. At some point someone added 66 Shelby style quarter windows. Most of the interior is with the car. However the car comes with black front and back seats, the correct color should be red. The dash has been altered to accept two gauges please see pictures. Other than that it’s in good shape. I hate to get rid of the K-Code because I’ll probably never be able to get another one with original engine, transmission and rearend. I am currently traveling so I will not be able to take additional pictures. The Mustang will be available for pick up after June 6, 2012. Shipping: I will deliver the car within a 50 mile radius at no charge. Beyond that the buyer will need to arrange pickup and delivery. Payment: A 500 dollar deposit required 24 after close of auction via Pay Pal. Final cash or certified check payment required before taking delivery of Mustang. I can assure you I will have seller’s remorse, happy bidding………..
