This is the kind of car you hear about, read about, but rarely find. 80,600 ORIGINAL MILES. Elderly Owned Since New. 30-33MPG!! NO RESERVE 1991 Oldmobile Ninety Eight Regency. V-6 3800 motor. Front wheel drive. This car is very clean and dependable. It was owned and driven by an elderly man who is now having health issues and can no longer drive. It has been driven daily, but obviously, not very far. I am selling this to help him and his family out. I would buy it for myself, but unfortunately, I just don't have a reason or room for it. I have been driving this car for about a week now and I have to say I am amazed at how tight and fresh this 21 year old vehicle is. It's like going back in time. The front end is tight, smooth and drives straight. The brakes are tight and smooth. The motor is quiet, quick and gets an unbelievable 30-33MPG!!! The interior is all leather. There are no rips in the seats, carpet or headliner. There are a few buttons that fell off of the steering wheel that control the stereo. The buttons are still with the car. The paint is in good condition. There is a little section on the trunk where the original clear coating is peeling off, but the paint is still very good all around. The rear bumper is a little oxidized. There are a few minor dings around the car, but nothing major and no dents. Yes, this really gets over 30MPG!!! I have been told that the motor in this car is one of the best motors that GM has ever made. They are known to get 300,000 miles or more and the gas mileage is outstanding! This car has every option imaginable. 6 way lumbar seats with 2 additional adjustments. Fog lights. Cruise control. A/C (which will need to be charged to blow cold), Automatic sentinel headlights. The dash has so many freaking buttons for things it looks like the inside of the "Kit Car" from the TV show and I'm expecting it to start talking to me anytime soon. Things to note: 1).This car has a kill switch in the center console. When the switch is off, the entire car is off. 2)The trunk keyhole has been glued shut. There is a trunk release button inside the car that can be disabled. Either way, the trunk can be opened with this button. Apparently he was extremely paranoid about his car getting stolen or broken into. 3).The door key is missing. I don't have it and he doesn't know where it is either. But a locksmith can re-key it easily. 4). A/C does not blow cold and will need to be charged. This car can be driven as a daily driver now without having to do any repairs. It is mechanically sound and very dependable. Basically, this is a 21 year old car, with only 80K miles, it's in decent condition, can be driven daily, and needs some minor attention. It shows that the speed of the car is much higher than the car is actually going. I'm not sure why it's doing this.
