1999 FORD EXPLORER XLS V6 4X4 A couple of issues to note: ABS light is constantly on. It is only the ABS Sensor that needs to change (either the front, back, or both). It is a very cheap part which usually runs no more then $20.00 a piece and if you are mechanically inclined, a fairly quick fix. But the brakes work just fine. 4X4 is not operable as it just needs lubrication. So in the meantime, it remains at the "AUTO" setting. The above issues are minor. I would have corrected them myself, but because of 3 jobs, I just do not have the time. Engine is very, very strong. I have never had any issues with the engine. Also I should mention that part of the truck's frame in the engine compartment area is a little loose due to some rust. If you do a hard acceleration you will hear the vibration of that piece of frame. Once you level your speed, the vibration stops. The power locks work fine however, be aware that the driver-side lock cannot lock. Also all the keyholes will need replacement.
