This X3 is high-mileage but runs and drives like a vehicle with less than half the mileage. Interior:The supple tan leather is in very good condition with no tears. Some of the interior surfaces show wear typical of this year vehicle, but nothing objectionable. This is a non-smoker vehicle and shows excellent. My passengers can't believe the condition for the year and mileage. The standard shift-knob had black paint, however this had begun scraping off. I removed the remainder of the paint, revealing an ivory-like tan plastic that looks terrific with this tan interior. Exterior:The starlight black paint is in very good original condition. There is a small dent on the hood, otherwise no exterior dings or dents. Body-colored bumper covers were not available in 2004 & 2005. However, the black covers blend well with the matte black trim and are easily and economically replaced. (In my opinion, the other body colors for these years do not look nearly as good as black.) Nearly new tires sit on original larger than standard rims. Functionality:All of the safety and convenience features of this vehicle are in working order, except for the rear window defroster. The defroster bands have been rubbed off over time. Replacing the window would correct this problem. I am not the original owner, and frankly want to keep this vehicle. However, my wife has injured her left foot and we have had to purchase a vehicle with an automatic transmission. Being a BMW, however, the manual gives this X3 and even more sporty feel and better fuel economy than the automatic.
