This car started life as a B5 blue slant six/904 1973 Duster. The cosmetic and mechanical work was completed in 2004. Alot of time and money went into this car to make it what it is. It runs like a scalded ape, yet still cruises comfortably and get the thumbs up everywhere. ENGINE: Rebuilt .03 over 383 out of a 1969 Polara. Mildly ported 906 heads. Edelbrock performer RPM intake. TTI ceramic coated headers. TTI 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust with H-pipe. Dynomax super-turbo mufflers. Hughes Engines cam 219/228 duration @.05, .489/.524 lift. Comp cams roller rockers. KB Hypereutectic pistons 9.5:1 CR. Carter competition series 625 cfm AFB. MSD 6AL Ignition. Mopar Performance distributor. Accel Supercoil. MSD adjustable timing control box- controls spark timing 0-15 degrees from the driver's seat. Lokar transmission kickdown cable. New Battery. Mobil 1 synthetic oil. Fresh-air carb baseplate made of aluminum seals to the hood well. K&N air filter.Mechanical and an auxillary elecrtic fuel pump near gas tank. 26" radiator with factory overflow tank. TRANSMISSION: Rebuilt 727 with a shift kit. 2300 stahl converter. Mopar performance deep pan. Extra transmission cooler mounted in front of radiator. Normal shift pattern. Trans shifts tight and at the correct RPM when left in drive. Part-throttle kickdown kit installed. Balanced driveshaft with Spicer u-joints. This car has no vibrations at any speed and cruises nicely on the freeway. Spool type urethane tranny mount. AXLE: 8.25" open with 3.21 gears. No leaks or strange noises. I pulled the diff cover off and checked the C clips for wear; none was found. SUSPENSION: 6 leaf Mopar Performance springs with urethane bushings at both ends. Re-built front end with urethane bushings throughout. New upper and lower ball joints, etc. Mopar performance .94" torsion bars. Thick 1" front sway bar. Factory 73' and up sway bar setup. BRAKES: Factory 73' and up disc brakes up front. New rotors, pads, hoses, master cylinder, etc in 2004. 10" drums on rear also rebuilt. Brakes are excellent. CHASSIS: Auto Rust Technicians 2" x 2" subframe connectors professionally mig-welded in. K- frame is a 1973 slant six unit with the schumacher spool type conversion kit. K- frame was beefed with a very large washer mig-welded around the lower control arm pivot. Steel straps were also mig-welded to the upper control arm bracket on the frame for beef. Auto Rust Technicians torque boxes front and rear. BODY: Repainted B5 blue in 2004 with PPG's Deltron system. Engine bay painted with PPG's DCC acryllic urethane for it's extreme durability. Hood and door tops painted with PPG black basecoat then PPG 2060 Flex'd n Flat clear. Legendary vinyl top. AAR Quality Fiberglass six pack hood. Grille has no cracks anywhere. AAR Quality Fiberglass front bumper. Factory tinted windows all around. Rear window has the defroster grid in it and works great. Front window is a new replacement. Driver's door glass has some scratches. Factory rallye mirrors. In front of the rear tire, the body lines were smoothed over. The car scraped against something there a long time ago. There is a very small amount of bubbling of the paint on the lower rear quarters. INTERIOR: Legendary front seat covers, headliner, package tray, carpet, glove box liner. Instrument panel faceplate and heater bezel were rechromed by Layson's Restorations. Under dash components restored. Pioneer stereo/CD player with boxed Kenwood 6"x9" speakers. 5 bow cloth headliner conversion installed instead of the cardboard unit used by the factory. Dash is an uncracked factory original in great shape. A01 light package. 3spd wipers with electric washer resivoir pump. Glove box locks and uses the same key as the trunk. Passenger side rear door panel is incorrect. Console has some pitting on the chrome. WHEELS/TIRES: 15x8 Wheel Vintiques rear wheels on the rear with 265/50/15 BFG tires. 14x6 stock rallyes up front with 225/60/14 BFG tires.
