Body and Interior are in great shape (no one has ever smoked in it). A prospective buyer saw the eBay listing, contacted me, and flew in from California in March with $6,000 in hand to purchase the vehicle. He had no complaints about the body or the interior. He had an auto mechanic's background and literally checked the car from top to bottom. He crawled under the car to inspect the whole mechanical condition. He left without purchasing, mostly because he didn't have time to make the fixes that it would require to get him comfortably back to CA, and shipping it would have put him over-budget. Here is what he found: The front axles need to be replaced; gaskets should be replaced (slight oil leak); AC compressor needs to be replaced; two auxiliary bulbs on right front need to be replaced; rear brake pads should be replaced. The radiator fan is noisy, but works. Here is what is new on the car over the past 18 months: valves, water pump, timing belt, exhaust, battery, and AC condenser. New pricing will reflect what my mechanic thinks the repairs will cost, either by the do-it-yourselfer or a mechanic not out to gouge you. For example, he told me that he could get both front axles and install them for under $300.00. These are the facts. You, as a prospective buyer, know your budget. I know the rarity and desirability of the car. I am the car's second owner. My father-in-law was the first. I am selling the car "AS IS". There is no warranty. I will require a non-refundable $500.00 deposit within 48 hours of auction close. Payment to be made in cash or bank certified funds, deposited to my account before release of title. Buyer is responsible for transport of vehicle. I know a reputable auto transport company, but buyer will need to make all arrangements if that company is chosen. All eBay rules and regulations will be followed in this transaction for the protection of the seller and the buyer.
