Vehicle Detail

I purchased the Subaru a few months back from a guy in southern Kansas. It has been a daily driver, and the more I drive it, the better it runs. Unfortunately, I have accepted a new job which will involve considerable out of town travel. While the Brat is a very fun to drive locally , I don't see it as a daily commuter vehicle. I am, therefore, going to sell the Brat and buy a vehicle more suited to long distance travel. I have repaired the alternator and had a new muffler and mid-pipe section professionally installed by Midas. The good - The suspension rides very nicely. The underside and outer body are free of rust. The paint is original. The engine runs strong. The miles are low. All factory gauges are functioning as they should.( the clock keeps perfect time) The t-tops do not leak. The 4 wheel drive works. It starts right up. The bad - The hood has a small dent in the front and shallow hail damage throughout. The tailgate has a fist sized dent near the handle although it does open and close. There was body work done in a small area above the driver's side rear wheel well. The passenger side fender has a long scratch and a small dent. There are some additional small dings and scratches. While the push button 4 wheel drive works, the button will not stay engaged. Think of it as " push button and hold " 4 wheel drive. The driver's side seat pad is threadbare. The passenger side is in great shape. There is surface rust under the passenger and driver's door around the rubber moulding, but it has not spread to the outer body. I realize that the "bad list" is longer than the "good list" , but I want to be as up front as people would expect from someone with a 100 percent positive feedback rating. This Brat is very restorable and gets a lot of attention in its current condition. I will try and answer questions in a timely manner. The ugly - If you cared about ugly you wouldn't be looking at a BRAT. Good Luck. On May-15-12 at 14:35:08 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention a few things. The gauge area of the dashboard has a light film of dust. There are no jump seats. There is a "Gem" topper that goes with it - nothing special. I have the owner's manual and original purchase agreement and a repair manual. The jack and tool kit are included. There are 3 small pits in the windshield - they are not in the driver's or passenger's forward field of vision. The rest of the glass is in great shape. The front brakes have tons of pad left. I have not checked the rears. The dash is cracked in 4 places - as are most. The moulding is missing from the top of the tailgate. Part of the small curved piece to the driver's side of the tailgate has been cut off.
