Vehicle Detail
Investment grade, collector quality, EXTREMELY nice example of this classic Fiat 124 Sport Spider 1800, showing only 37,812 actual miles on the odometer, with much documentation to go with the car. This car is hard to fault as it has been garage kept and pampered its whole life, and it shows! I have much documentation on the car including the buyer's order receipt showing an original purchase price from Roger Budd Imported Cars of Valdosta, GA, of $5565.52, and the original owners manual plus other FIAT factory info, and receipts for maintenance. I also have a mileage statement from the dealership where it was traded in on a new car. It has always been in the south, so no rust worries, and doesn't appear to have been exposed to the elements as its paint, dash, and interior are pristine. It has covered only about 1000 miles per year since new! Like new under hood with a sound engine and all components working well. Drives like a dream with a smooth running engine, shifting through all gears with no unusual noises. Solid with NO rust anywhere. Appears to have its original paint coat in bright almost luminescent yellow--beautiful and rarely seen! Minor ding at rear light and light crease at front edge of passenger door that is touched up, and small split in seam of driver seat hardly noticeable. This car looks fantastic and drives solid as a rock! Probably as close to a new one as you'll ever find! The car is being sold in as is condition with no warranties. I encourage questions and viewings prior to purchase, and I reserve the right to end the auction early if made unavailable or sold prior to end. I will assist with shipping arrangements and know of two reasonable shippers if needed. Good luck!On May-17-12 at 19:06:22 PDT, seller added the following information: Today an older gentleman, a car dealer from South Carolina, came to look at the car. He said the car is exactly as represented. "Very well-preserved," he said. He also said it was extremely rare to find a Fiat like this one that has absolutely no rust, and he was amazed at the car's condition and originality, and was also impressed with the original paint. He did find that a small piece of the jute padding under the passenger side floorboard carpet was missing, but the floors are excellent with original paint. No other faults were found with the car on inspection and test drive.
