1991 Audi 20 Valve Avant (3B - Wagon) This is a one owner California car – that I bought new at Christmas in 1990 - and it has been lovingly cared for by myself, and the guys at 034 and European Auto Service in Walnut Creek. It is in excellent condition overall with almost no body dings, zero rust, and in original OEM configuration. It has lived in Monterey and Silicon Valley from new, with occasional trips up and down the West Coast. It has never been tracked, chipped or wrecked and is smoke-free. It does have 317,045 mostly freeway miles on the original drive train and clutch, which should tell you how well this car has been treated and maintained. The clutch finally needs replacing. This is a great car that I enjoyed immensely for 21 years, and with a new clutch it will provide the new owner with many miles of some of the best driving that Audi has ever offered. The car runs, steers and tracks perfectly, pulls 1.8 bar with ease, handles like a sports car and gets really good gas mileage. It has lived on the Monterey Peninsula since new and is currently garaged in Carmel. · I have used fuel injector cleaner regularly, run Mobil 1 synthetic, and change the filter with every oil change. · European headlights are wired with relays and there is a separate button under the dash that flashes the ODB codes. · Everything perishable on the car has been replaced with Audi OEM parts and the list is extensive. · Recently 034 put the car on the dyno and it turned in the factory spec for torque and horsepower. I have driven the car only about 3 thousand miles in the past five years. During that time the following work was done. · The turbo and injectors were rebuilt; the cats and all the undercarriage rubber, struts, bomb, CV boots, drive shaft and two half shafts were replaced. · In the engine room there is a strut brace, an 034 fuel regulator, K&N air filter, and new fuel pump, power steering pump, valve cover gasket and a new steering rack. · It has a new windshield and all the wrinkled window sill rubber has been replaced with new OEM trim. · Michelin Sports tires are nearly new in front of drilled rotors, ceramic pads, rebuilt calipers and new brake hoses. The interior is almost perfect. · All the gauges work perfectly and there is a Sony radio/CD with a 10 disk CD changer in the back and a new antenna. (The original Delta radio comes with it and works fine.) · The dash, the wood, the door panels, all switches and handles are perfect. · All windows and mirrors work – both front doors have new regulators – and the car has new front carpet pads. · The driver’s seat has a small wear spot on the leather and the headliner has started to droop in the back. The exterior is almost perfect. · Paint has been continuously maintained, waxed and polished – there are no door edge dings, rock chips on the hood, corner scrapes, or rust under the paint anywhere. All paint is top quality with clear topcoat. · There is a small patch of rust on the chrome roof rack. Deal includes a complete set of annotated Bentley manuals, two large totes full of spares, one spare strut and one spare half shaft, and a brand new unused car cover. I am selling this wonderful car because I have had an allroad with Tiptronic, an A8L, and finally found an allroad with the six speed manual transmission. It drives a lot like the 200.
