93 Geo metro 2 dr Convertible LSI 3 cylinder 1.0L OHC, automatic transmission, drivers airbag. The Good________________ Fresh motor rebuild less than 3500 miles ago, and included a brand new starter. Fresh professionally machined head with all new parts that were needed. Both intake and exhaust valves are titanium. Head was checked for cracks and defects and machined flat. New seals throughout. New head gasket and new stretch head bolts. New rod and main bearings installed. New standard size rings with 3 piece oil control and hardened compression and scraper rings and the motor has great compression numbers across all cylinders and has a new timing belt. All new seals on the motor so there are no leaks. Also has all new belts and air filter on the motor within the last 3 months. Most water and vacuum hoses are new as well. Fresh tune-up with new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and pcv valve. Passes state required emission testing with very low numbers. The motor runs smooth and starts right up warm or cold. The motor mounts are all in good condition with 2 being new. oil is nice and clean and the antifreeze is fresh and clean green. no smoke of any color on start, revving, load, or cold or hot. New brakes in front and rear are about 75%. New exhaust system including catalytic converter and muffler. Recently replaced the battery. Has 13” wheels and tires and the tires have only a few thousand miles on them. Includes a same size spare. New suspension parts including drive axle, control arm, and a ball joint. Front wheel drive car has great traction and stops quite fast because it is very light. This vehicle has no air-conditioning, it did not come from the factory with any installed. You can however get a complete air conditioning system for around $200 online on geo forums and install it or have it installed. The heater works very well for winter trips or in colder climates you can still drive with the top down. Nice factory leather steering wheel with good firm grip and air bag restraint in it, and still has quite tight steering and suspension. Drives very nice and it is not sloppy at all on the road. The top is brand new, high quality, and has just been installed. It seals quite nicely, with no leaks when it rains. The windows roll up and down very well and seal as they should. It also works very well and is easy to put up and down. The latching mechanism works well and there is no wind noise from gaps in the top. The rubber was all in good shape, and very supple. There were only a few minor repairs in the rubber being needed when we replaced the top. This is a nice Arizona car that has been here most of its life and there is no rust! The transmission was rebuilt by the previous owner at Aamco. It shifts very tight and the fluid is nice and pink. I replaced the fluid about 6 months ago with a new filter and rubber gasket. I think it may need a new downshift cable or it needs to be adjusted. I just do not have time to replace or adjust it right now. The car has been very dependable and we only are selling it to help our daughter out with school. It needs nothing mechanically that would stop anyone from driving it across town or across country that we are aware of. Things can break, but we have replaced many parts and the car has been very dependable for us over the 3+ years we have owned it. As far as mileage goes it really depends on how and where you drive. You can get up to 50 mpg with these little cars and their efficient motors quite easily. Clean AZ Title ready to notarize. Has and will pass smog check with no issues if required by your state. Everything works, including lights, horn, blinkers, even the windshield squirters. It is very dependable and uses no oil or water. In fact my wife uses it to commute to school back and forth every day and never had a break down even one time. We have owned it for over 3 years and hate to sell it. Comes with the original key and a spare. The Needs________________ The carpet is weathered, but is perfectly useable with floor mats. One sun visor is missing. The car has a dent in the trunk lid near the 3rd brake light, and one little one in the rear quarter. It could also use new trunk support rods. We never replaced them because the trunk is so light. Please keep in mind that this is a 21 year old car with over 200,000 miles on the body. Don’t expect a new car, but do expect a dependable, reasonably priced car with normal or less than normal signs of wear.
