This 2004 Honda Civic is a gas saver with an estimated 42 mpg in the city and 48mpg on the highway. - The Engine is Strong and Smooth and the transmission shifts well. The Electrical battery charging system is working well Now there are some areas that need attention: Every time we start driving it, either in reverse or going forward after a complete stop, it makes a loud noise that sounds like the rear breaks are holding on or something is wrong with the rear end or axle. That noise last just about 1-3 seconds depending on how fast we accelerate and then the Hybrid will drive well with no other noise until you get to the next complete stop. We have not had a mechanic look at the issue and therefore we have absolutely no idea of what is going on and it will be the reponsability of the new owner to have it checked out. The Autocheck report shows No Accidents but from what we can tell by looking at the car it was probably involved in an accident because it has definitely been repainted. We bought this car at a dealer auction and were only given one key. However that key for some reason will only start the car and wont lock or open the doors. The rear drivers side molding is missing.
