The car was done very well with all correct Shelby parts used. Body: This car had new floors, panels, frame rails, door skins, and all the correct Shelby body panels installed and a top quality “Torch Red” paint applied. All chrome is very nice and emblems/striping are all excellent. The top is a new black cloth with a glass window and black convertible top boot. It has factory racing mirrors, factory front spoiler, factory hood locks, halogen headlights, hella driving lights, Monte Carlo Bar, all Shelby emblems, parts, accessories, and wheels are new! All glass is good, the doors, windows, lights, top all work as they should. The paint is excellent with only one minor chip on the back. The 15x7 correct Shelby wheels are in excellent condition and there are new 235/60/15 front and 255/60/15 rear BFG TA Radials. Interior: This car has a completely new Black Deluxe Interior with all correct Shelby parts. New seats, carpet, door panels, dash, factory console, wooden Shelby shifter handle, 8000 rpm tach with shift light, correct Shelby gauges, clock, wooden 3 spoke steering wheel, Air Conditioning (have all parts, not all are installed on car), Lojac Locator system, hidden trunk mounted AM/FM Cassette with 6 disc player, amp, and remote. The interior is in excellent overall condition. . Drivetrain: A new 351 crate motor with 350 hp is powering this Shelby. It has 9.0 to 1 compression, Ford Motorsport hydraulic roller cam/lifters, windage tray, chrome 6 qt oil pan, Edelbrock dual plane aluminum intake manifold, Demon 650 carb w/vacuum secondaries, K&N Air Filter, Ford Motorsport tall chrome valve covers, Chrome H.V. Coil, HD Mechanical Fan, Ceramic shorty headers, Full aluminized 2-1/4” exhaust, factory style crossflow muffer, correct cast Shelby Exhaust tips, Aluminum Radiator, Ford Electronic Ignition, 105 amp alternator. Ford ATOD Transmission, fully rebuilt with transmission cooler, 2200 stall B&M torque converter and B&M shift kit. 3.70 Traction Lok 9” Ford rearend, 31 spline axles, Quick Ratio Power Steering, Power 4 wheel disc brakes, Stainless brake lines, Koni Rear Shocks, KYB front shocks, All new suspension w/urethane bushings throughout. The drivetrain is in excellent condition! No issues and the car starts, runs, drives, steers, handles, and stops great! It was built with cruising in mind and is very responsive, yet returns 15-16 mpg on the highway! Overall: For the purist, this car would be worth $150-$200 if it was authentic! It was built right with no shortcuts and all the correct Shelby parts used. This is a rare find with probably less than 5k miles put on it since restoration 11 years ago. It has always been garaged, well maintained, and well taken care of. A unique opportunity to have a GT500 Shelby convertible without paying the big money for a real one, yet be able to drive anywhere and be proud to display it at any show!
