Vehicle Detail

93 Geo metro 2dr Convertible LSI 3 cylinder 1.0L OHC, 3spd auto trans, drivers airbag. The Good________________ Fresh motor rebuild less than 3000 miles ago including a new starter. Fresh professionally machined head with all new parts that were needed. Both intake and exhaust valves are titanium. Head was checked for cracks and defects and machined flat. New seals throughout. New head gasket and new stretch head bolts. New rod and main bearings. New standard size rings with 3 piece oil control and hardened compression and scraper rings. New timing belt. All new seals on the motor so there are no drips. Also has all new belts and air filter on the motor within the last 6 months. Fresh tune-up with new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and pcv valve. Passes state required emission testing with very low numbers. The motor runs smooth and starts right up warm or cold. The motor mounts are all in good condition with 2 being new. New brakes in front and rear are about 75%. New exhaust system including catalytic converter and muffler. New battery. Has 13” wheels and tires and the tires have only a few thousand miles on them, but they do have a little heat cracking starting. Includes a same size spare. New suspension parts including cv axle, control arm, and a ball joint. Front wheel drive car has great traction and stops quite fast because it is very light. This vehicle has no air-condition, it did not come from the factory with any installed. The heater works very well for winter trips also. Nice factory leather steering wheel with good firm grip and air bag restraint in it. Drives very nice and it much tighter feeling than its age would indicate. The top has just been replaced and it seals quite nicely. the rubber was all in pretty good shape with only a few minor repairs being needed and none of it was dried out at all. This is an Arizona car with no rust at all. The car has been very dependable and we only are selling it to help our daughter out with school. It needs nothing mechanically that would stop you from driving it across town or across country that we are aware of. Things can break, but we have replaced many parts and the car has been very dependable for us. As far as mileage goes it really depends on how and where you drive. They automatic transmission takes off a couple of MPG, driving fully loaded takes off a couple more, and driving above 75 MPH takes off yet a few more. So on average, we can get from 30 to 45 mpg with this vehicle. I guess the saying; “mileage may vary” is fitting in this situation. You would have to hyper-mile to get above 45 or so mpg with a similar car. Anyway we are just trying to be honest and tell you our experience has been about 41 or so. that way you know what to expect when gas is $6.50 a gallon. The Needs________________ The carpet is old, but is perfectly useable with floor mats. The car has a dent in the trunk lid near the 3rd brake light, and one little one in the rear quarter. Everything works though and it is very dependable. In fact my wife uses it to commute to school back and forth every day and never had a break down even one time. We have owned it for almost 3 years and hate to sell it. However you must keep in mind that this is a 21 year old car with over 200,000 miles on the body. Don’t expect a new car when you come to look at it. Expect a dependable, reasonably priced car with a few signs of wear. Clean AZ Title ready to sign over. Has and will pass smog check with no issues
