Texas Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to present... 1967 Austin-Healey 3000 MKIII BJ8 Enjoy our video below of this classic Austin-Healey in action Video above / Press play FEATURES & SPECIFICATIONS INCLUDE : 2912 cc Six Cylinder Twin Carburetor Engine / 150HP 4-Speed Manual Transmission Sixty-Spoke True Wire Knock-Off Wheels & Spare / Hammer Factory Guages & Tachometer / Walnut Dash Moto-Lite 3-Spoke Wood Steering Wheel Dual Chrome Mirrors 165/55R15 Pirelli Tires Black Vinyl Soft Top / Dark Blue Tonneau / Dark Blue Boot Designed by Donald Healey, the 3000 was produced from 1959 until 1968 with designations of MK I, II, and III. The latter versions were the most luxurious. The MK III also sported the powerful increased displacement six cylinder engines producing approximately 150 horsepower. With the relatively light weight and power, these are true sports cars, highly desirable and collectible. This example received a nut & bolt restoration completed in 1995 and showing very well today. Enjoy our presentation and feel free to contact Dave at 214-213-7072 or Maris at 214-616-2317 with any questions. Many of our photos of this classic "Big Healey" were taken at the Dallas Love Field Frontiers of Flight Museum, located only minutes from our showroom. This beautiful example is finished in solid black and rides on its correct chrome & stainless 60-spoke wire wheels wrapped in Pirelli tires. The paint and body look to be in exceptional condition throughout. Roll-up windows, a Walnut veneer dashboard and center console make the MKIII Austin-Healey the most luxurious of the 3000 models. The BJ8 MKIIIs 2+2 configuration make for comfortable cruising for youself and three passengers. The interior is finished in tan with walnut highlights throughout the dash. Toggle switches operate the headlamps and courtesy lighting. The 60,055 miles are believed original to the car. This is a turn-key example that rides and shows excellent. The 1964 & up Austin-Healey 3000s received an interior re-design and is quite driver friendly and attractive. The 4-speed manual transmission shifts as it should and the clutch grips strong. The elegant dash features the original sport-oriented round gauges, functional including the speedometer. The steering wheel is not the factory original, and is in beautiful condition. The tan upholstery is in very good to excellent condition throughout as well. Under the hood is the strong running 2912 cc. 6-cylinder engine. The engine has never been rebuilt. This twin carbureted powerplant is rated at approximately 150 horsepower and paired with the 4-speed manual transmission. The undercarriage is solid throughout. The frame and flooring looks to be in exceptional condition on this rare Austin-Healey. The rear suspension features twin trailing arms. 1964-up models feature stronger hubs and further suspension upgrades. The gas tank has also been replaced. These cars were popular at Rallies, winning many races. Texas Classic Cars of Dallas is located at 1912 W. Mockingbird Lane in Dallas, Texas, 75235. We are open 6 days out of each week.
