Selling a well preserved 1982 Datsun by Nissan Maxima, 151739 original miles.This vehicle has a grease kit installed by previuos owner and is all there. It consists basically of an extra tank in the trunk for the vegtable oil, heater hoses that run back from the engine compartment to the tank to pre heat, a switch on the dash which controls a solenoid to switch between the diesel tank and the veggie tank, and a heated filter in the engine compartment. I believe the installation was done by greengreasemonkey.com and looks to be quality and functional. The previous owner said it worked well but I have yet to try it. The engine starts well and runs strong. it is the famous SD33 six cylinder diesel and it purrs nicely. The interrior is ok, the front seats are good and have seat covers but the back seat is in need of a cover due to ripped fabric. Any maxima interior would fit from that generation if you wanted. The exterior is in surprisingly good shape. There is some rust but mostly limited to a couple door bottoms and rocker panels. The underneath looks great for the year. The automatic transmission shifts well, no slipping. The tires look good and there is another set of two studded tires mounted to the same alloy rims for winter use which I will include. The brakes may need some attention soon, it feels like it needs pads and maybe rotors, but it did pass MA inspection right before I bought it. I have only driven it on my road and yard lately just to keep it excercised somewhat. I think this is a worth-while vehicle and deserves the attention needed to help out the environment while cruising for free. This vehicle has been well cared for and shows well despite its 30 years of age. Call with questions 603-689-4983 and remeber it is thirty years old now so be realistic. However it is a quality piece. I should mention that I never titled it so it will be sold with the previous owners clean title. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this car home but you may want to do the brake work before driving cross-country. Thanks for looking, good luck!On Apr-13-12 at 08:15:35 PDT, seller added the following information:Folks have requested additional info on rust etc. so I will post some photos from today. rust is limited to a few areas on lower door skins which were covered by black tape less than 2 inches wide and just a couple areas on both rockers also covered with black tape about 4" by 4". The underneath floor pans all looked surprisingly good. Interrior: front seats very good only few minor cigarette burns but back seat cover torn, foam is good. Also pics of grease kit. Thanks!
