This 1991 Mitsubishi Galant VR-4 is a one owner car that is in very good condition. It has always been garaged and received regular maintenance. There is no rust and the paint is in good condition. The hood has some dings from stones, etc. There is a very small dent on the left rear fender, probably caused by another car door in a parking lot. The interior is also in good condition showing only normal usage. There are no tears in the leather seats. The vehicle is stock and has never been modified. There were 2000 VR-4’s produced in 1991. This one is number 375. The color is Belize green. The current mileage is 119,963. It is driven regularly, however I am retired and it is not used very much. The vehicle has a current Virginia safety inspection. The vehicle is being sold as is and carries no guaranty. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and arrangements. $500 deposit required within 4 days. Full payment required within 7 days. Maintenance: At 37,693 miles the timing belts were replaced under a recall program. In December 2000 at 96,402 miles, the timing belts were replaced again in scheduled maintenance (every 60,000). The water pump was also replaced at that time. In April 2001 at 97,261 miles, the vehicle would not pass the required emissions test. A complete valve job was done on the head and the turbocharger replaced. That solved the problem and the vehicle passed the emissions test. Receipts are available. In December 2001 at 98,000 2 tires were replaced and November 2005 at 104,000 the remaining 2 tires were placed. In the spring 2008 at about 105,000, the car developed a stalling problem and would cut off unexpectedly. After replacing the crank angle sensor, the power transistor, and the control relay, it was found that the computer was the problem. It was rebuilt and the problem was solved. In May and June of 2009 the clutch master cylinder and the slave cylinder were replaced as was the idle control valve. In the past 2 months, both the radiator and the battery were replaced. Accidents: The only accident/incident occurred in January 2010. While waiting for a red light an inattentive driver tapped the rear bumper. The speed was very low and the bumper isolators were able to absorb the shock. Total repairs came to $896.52 which included repairing and repainting the rear bumper area. Miscellaneous: The original radio and antenna have been replaced. The original radio quit and the antenna was damaged. The replacement antenna does not, by design retract. Two Mitsubishi service manuals and the original showroom brochure go with the car. Many of the replaced parts, including the radio were saved and available if desired.
