Up for auction is my pride and joy, a 1987 Mitsubishi Montero, 4 cylinder automatic transmission, 4 wheel drive vehicle. It has been babied, it has only 93000 original miles, hasn’t been driven off road, and has been cared for lovingly. As far as I can tell it’s all stock. We had a new grandchild and I bought a newer vehicle, a bigger one. Yup, another Montero. I love this vehicle. I bought it 4 years ago and it’s taken me to work every day since. When I bought it, I bought it from a non-profit group, it came with a salvage title, never found out why. I think it had been donated, because it had been sitting for a while. Had to put a new battery on it to get it to start. It just had it’s January 2012 inspection, and I had to put on a new muffler for it to pass. The tires are good, and the upholstery is good too, with the exception of a couple tears that you can see in the pics. When I bought it, it had a crack in the windshield, but I haven’t needed to replace it although I do have a replacement windshield which I’ll furnish to the winner of the auction. I’m told a lot of real 4 wheelers love these vehicles because they can crawl over pretty much anything. The 4 wheel drive works great, we’ve only used it during the infrequent snow storms. One of the AC pulleys locked up and I never replaced it, so the AC isn’t working. Also, when I bought it the speakers had been disconnected. I never reconnected them but I have them.
