You are bidding on a 1928 Willys Whippet Six. The Serial Number is T - 28471 and according to the “Willys Overland Knight Register” this is a Whippet 98, or the short-lived model prior to the 98A. Making it much more rare than most Whippet Six models. The motor number is 98-30162 and as far as I know is the original motor. The car is equipped with a working overdrive (after market) that makes the car run at less RPM’s while on the road. I love driving this car as it is fun and runs so well...however I have to make room. The car has been in my family for at least 40 years, and appears to have had some restoration as I assume the paint is not 100% original. Any restoration was done by my grandfather at least 30 years ago. The paint is a two tone green and black, and does have some stains and fades. I am not sure if this is an original color or not? While with our family it has been garaged, and I have tried very hard to keep it preserved as it is a treasure. I tried to take as detailed of pictures as possible and feel they represent the car well. This car is amazing, it is in such great shape and so fun to drive. There are two known issues, one the rear driver side window (far rear) will not roll up. The second issue is a small water leak from fan shaft, that appears to need a repack. As with anything this old, it has wear and tear and minor scratches. The vinyal top is in good shape with no major tears, but the edges are worn. The seats appear to be the original mole-hair and our an olive green/gray. Most of the rust appears to be on the surface and there are no major dents. The car appears to be very complete, and the title is clear and free. The vehicle is located in Northwest Ohio.
