Vehicle Detail
This award winning 1931 model A tudor sedan has undergone a professional ground up restoration (see photo) including all running gear. All brake backing plates and assemblys were rebuilt any worn linkage replaced, new springs ,rod ends and pins replaced and floater kits installed with new drums. This car stops quickly and straight. The leaf srings disassembled inspected greased and reassembled with all new bushings. Rear Diff was torn down inspected reassembled with new bearings and seals. all undercar parts and frame sprayed in black urethane (see photos) The engine is a HandH touring engine, they take the block and sleeve it back to standard bore, counter balance the crank shaft and machine the block for bearing inserts instead of babbit. They install hard valve seats with oversize valves and I mean oversize! these valves are big ! single lock adjustable lifters on their special cam grind . H beam rods with forged alum. pistons ,they also manage to install a 1 piece rear main oil seal. all rotating parts are balanced and the flywheel had somewhere in the neighborhood of 25lbs. removed from it and then machined to accept the flathead V8 clutch. The engine was then fitted with a Snyders hi comp.cyl. head, a model B carb and intake manifold, new exhaust manifold and a Mallory distributor. The final outcome was the finest running model A engine I've ever driven. easily double the horsepower and smooth acceleration like you just can't believe its a model A engine. And worth every penny of the nearly $6000.00 I spent alone on the engine and components. It has so much power it really needs a overdrive now, with 4 people in the car it will climb any hill I've found in high gear no problem. The trans- mission was torn down and inspected and reassembled and works just fine. Now back to the car all window glass was replaced with new safty glass, all window regulators were rebuilt as needed along with the door latch assemblys. all wood in the roof of the body was replaced and the top was redone with all new materials by one of the greatest top trimmers alive what a beautifull job he did no lumps and no leaks. The interior was redone using one of LaBarronBonney's complete kits new padding windlace everything. Paint was done in Sherwinn Williams automotive urethane and assembled with all correct gasket pads and new fasteners. Wheels were all trued and goodrich "Silvertowns" installed with new flaps and tubes. I could go on for hours and hours about this car, I'll tell you this if your looking for a Model A that you can get behind the wheel and drive and drive and drive and know for a fact it will get you home again and again Look no further this car is a joy to drive No shakes or rattles no sputtering no changing lanes when you push the brake pedal none of that just a beautifull car you can be proud to own. All the lights work perfectly, nothing to do but polish wax and drive it anywhere you want. I have a whole lot of money invested in this car and I realize the value of a car is only what someones willing to pay for it. But I'am not going to give it away either Iam looking at a fair price for the buyer and myself that we can both live with. look at the pictures , no junk here . I'll answer your questions as quickly as possible. buyer will be responsible for transportation ,a $500.00 non refundable deposit needs to be made within 24 hours of close of sale and ballance due in cash within 10 days after auction close. If you send me a bank draft or cashiers check the funds must be cleared and in my account before release of vehicle. anything else I forgot I'am sure I'll be reminded. Thanks for checking out my model A its a great car! Oh by the way I do have some XTRAS that go with the car, custom carpet kit from Labarron Bonney half a qt of the green body paint above the beltline, about a qt of wheel paint, another good 19 "rim a spare trans in pieces the original distributor and a couple of other items oh yes a box of spare relined brake shoes and I think thats about it.I also have a reprint of the '31 owners manual thats included. I have a set of nice duece rails a nice original duece shell and grill and a 540inch chevy hanging on the engine stand and a new Portaband . what do you think 4 or 5 inch chop ?
