1982 Land Cruiser BJ42 - S/N BJ42002825 Klondike Gold - Immaculate Frame-off Restoration. This IS the Bar; the finest BJ42 in existence today-1st Place Car Show Winner!!!! For the discriminating buyer only! Please read the description and take the time to peruse the photos where you can see the results of a one and a half year, $100,000 plus project take place. Here’s a one time, beyond Rare opportunity to own an over the top restoration of a 1982 Toyota factory BJ42. I became enamored with these vehicles, while serving as a Helicopter Pilot on the Border between Pakistan and Afghanistan. The Bad Guys used these to get into inaccessible areas to engage us and to haul arms and ammunition. I was always amazed as a helicopter pilot on how they got these vehicle’s where they did, and the altitudes they attained. This was a complete frame off-sandblasted and powder coated frame, every nut and bolt re-plated or replaced. Most were replaced with stainless steel unless they were structural so there would be any rust issues. It has nearly all Australian Version options, (sans Factory power steering unit - which I have-) to be given to buyer for a full price, buy it now sale ONLY. Rear Floater axles, Aisin Hubs, Factory Fogs - the list is nearly endless. I am the 2nd owner of this vehicle. The mileage is documented with all service records and registrations. It has all seats (original) recovered, Spector Seat Covers installed and seats and headrests, all Factory rubber floor mats, owner’s manual, tool kit, everything! It has been in a climate controlled storage on a battery tender and started every 2 weeks and run up to temp. All gauges work perfectly. The headlights were upgraded to 6K HID, but can be easily removed if one prefers absolute authenticity. This vehicle has a documented 51,000 Miles showing on the odometer and California Title, which is verified by the New Zealand registration and service records. It is registered in California and insured. This vehicle came from New Zealand. The Original owner did the smartest thing he could have by having this land cruiser undercoated. The undercoating was removed with great difficulty, but the results speak for themselves-no rust. The small amount that was found was neutralized and acid etched primed to alleviate any issues. The 3B diesel engine runs flawless and gets 28-30 MPG. It is simple to turbo Should you wish to go that route. All weather stripping/window runs were replaced with factory weather stripping, new door panels, PPG paint. The paint was done by the Toyota Factory Museum’s painter. I have the original factory radio and speaker and bracket, all filters replaced, HD clutch, pilot and throw out bearing. New Brake Booster, slave and master clutch cylinders shift boots, new signage on entire vehicle, ARB Dakar Springs, ARB Shocks, ARB Leaf Spring bushings, and ARB steering stabilizer. New Brake masters, slaves, shoes; these brakes will put you through the windshield if you nail ‘em.! New Battery, all fluids flushed and replaced, new wiper blades and arms and mirror heads. Tires are New Hankook 31X10.50R15LT which ride like a dream. I have the factory split rims-which you can have with the sale, but I can't imagine why anyone would want them. I have driven this vehicle one time since restoration for functionality checks. There are a wealth of spares which come with this vehicle on a full price sale, including filters, car cover, original split rims, spare brake shoes, brake cylinders, etc, etc. It is perfect. All who have seen this are awestruck. It IS the finest BJ42 in the WORLD, Period. This vehicle, properly cared for, will last a lifetime.
