This is a rare 1957 Ford Ranchero that has been mildly customized and has a personality of it's own. The restoration work was performed by the previous owner, so the description of this car is based on conversation with him and a complete physical inspection of the car. Please take the time to read the entire description, and inspect all the photos of this car. I even had the car put up on a lift to photo the undercarriage to show the quality and solid integrity of this car. I am relisting this car due to a nonpaying bidder. Of course I would have rather completed the transaction, however not every deal can go smoothly. So to all prospective buyers I ask that you please bid seriously with the intention of buying and have the funds available to make the purchase. The two-tone color combination on this '57 Ranchero of PPG Light Peach and Vanilla Shake are eye-catching and express a true 1950's theme. This theme is continued by the addition of chrome reverse wheels, wide whites, lake pipes, dummy spotlights, headlight covers, custom stainless trim, and satellite tail light lenses. This is an original stick shift car and still retains the original 3-speed transmission and stick rear differential. The original engine was removed and replaced with a great running big block FE model that the previous owner stated is a 390 cubic inch engine. It has a raised group of numbers on left front of engine behind the coil that read 352 but is topped with a four barrel manifold # C2AE84250, and an Edelbrock AFB four barrel carburetor. My guess is that the engine is of 1962 or 1963 vintage. Whatever the case it runs absolutely fantastic. Fires right up and runs very smooth. A nice sounding dual exhaust was added. The interior was upgraded with a modern more comfortable seat from a Ford van, and the matching door panels from the same vehicle. A hot rod floor shifter was also added. The grille was replaced with a new unit and the bumpers were replated. Underside areas that had any rust issues were replaced with replacement metal. The brakes were updated with the addition of a dual master cylinder. This car has been just serviced. Fresh oil and filter, fresh tune up, suspension greased, turn key drive home and enjoy immediately! This is not a 100 point show car, but does present very well and would be a great hit at ANY car show. This is a turn key driver that looks and runs great, and is ready to enjoy immediately. This car is priced reasonable with a very realistic buy it now to be affordable to real car guys. The odometer reading of 71875 is believed to be true based on the 2010 inspection sticker on the windshield showing 63,109 miles on the car at the time it was inspected in August of 2009, and given a 08-2010 sticker.
