Vehicle Detail

I'm selling my General Lee replica because I don't use it. When I took it out of the garage to take these pictures, that was the first drive (more than around the block) we have taken since July 2010. Hopefully someone with more time for the General will buy him. So, let me get down to the nitty gritty. This is a 1969 Dodge Charger with a 318 and auto trans. It has (as I recall) a 3.23 Sure grip, shift kit, front end rebuild kit, Super coil, headers, and Flowmaster mufflers. The original build stats of the car in 1969 are unknown as there is no plate or build sheet, so all I know is it has the 318 in it now, which is surprisingly powerful and sounds amazing. It's a nice driver quality car. You will not go to Pebble Beach and take first prize in the concours d'elegance with this car, so if that's what you want, look elsewhere. However, this car was also not a rust bucket either. I did add front lower quarter panels, but overall, it's pretty solid The paint job is approaching 3 years old and there are no signs of rust issues. It looks really solid underneath also. The trunk is not soft, but not a brand new pan either. No rot in the frame or around the torsion bars etc. I think the pictures pretty much tell the story of the condition of the car. The trunk and door jams are painted and detailed nicely, under the hood still needs to be done. The major lighs work, the gauges work (even the clock but it does need to bump to get it ticking sometimes) and the headlight covers go up and down as they should. The odo is showing 73k and I have no possible way to verify what is really the mileage. The engine is VERY smooth and starts practically at the touch of the key, the trans works VERY well, so mileage is not a concern to me. You could let this car idle on the equator for a month and it would not overheat. The upholstery has a new carpet kit, dash cap and package tray. The driver seat as you can see has a defect that you can see in the pics and it's missing the rear kick panel on that seat. The very center top of the back seat has a split that is covered with tape. See pics. Again, it's a great driver quality car. I spent a great deal of time looking for the right parts to match the original Georgia General Lee, such as the small push bar (which is easy to find now, but was not when I did this car), 14 inch wheels (hard to find) and the old Gerogia style lettering. I have the wheel center caps somewhere, but never installed them as they stopped using them on the show also, the correct paint code (75 Corvette Flame Red - which is orange as orange can be). The tires are maybe 2 years old, but have easily less than 100 miles on them. Nothing would make me happier than for you to come see this car so you can form an educated opinion before you bid. I just saw a 68 sell for 12,999 and it was WAY worse than this car. However, if you can't come see it, please ASK ALL QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING. If you have less than 10 positive feedbacks or any negative, please email me or I will remove your bid. It gets tiring re-listing items because people are not serious. I once had a bidder who won an item tell me they only bid to help, not hoping to win. I don't want your help. Only bid to buy and expect to pay if you win. Don't tell me you bid on too many items and accidentaly won them all. If you really don't want this car, don't bid. Of course it is as is so please contact me with any questions. I'll be glad to show you the car or talk with you about it.
