You're looking for a nice-running pickup truck that gets decent mileage and that you can work on if you have to. Or, you're not the kind who likes to brag about his monthly payment on his truck. Maybe you simply have work to do, or your crew does. Here's the hot set-up. This nice old Ford Ranger gets a real 20 mpg, and it's fun to drive around, with a very tossable suspension. Still amazingly quiet on the road, thanks to the solid body-on-frame construction. The windshield's cracked, so figure a couple hundred for that. Also, the a/c will need the switchover, so there's another couple bills. Or, you can roll the windows down and drink water. Duraliner has been installed from the very beginning. A nice, straight truck is what you have here. Miles are 174k, which means it was built correctly at the factory and will do it all again. All lights and electricals work, and the radio and speakers are new, too. You can even plug in your iPod. Despite the fine sounding FM capability, I find myself tuning in to AM radio to listen to sports with Jim Rome. Brakes work great, stopping squarely with no squeal. Also, this truck has never been smoked in. Includes trailer hitch. Can do lots, from hauling mulch to pulling your trailer. Very cheap to insure. In fact, my agent told me it was just $8 more per month on top of my car. That's pretty cheap to be able to have a nice utility (and back-up) vehicle like this around. Includes all papers, two sets of keys, and a clear title. Buy this truck and get your use out of it. Keep it around or sell it. For your convenience, I just filled the tank on Friday. Completely factory stock with no boy racer or catalog modifications of any kind. High-torque, four cylinder engine is quiet yet pulls like mad. Very fun to drive.
