Vehicle Detail
'02 WRX Wagon, NO RESERVE!! This vehicle has been my daily driver for about 5 years now, and I have put about 60k miles on it. It runs very well, and I believe has a lot of life left despite the "high" mileage. The paint is in OK shape, but there are several dents, and the wheel wells have holes from rust. When I got the car, the wheel wells looked fine. Several months ago, rust started to come through. When I got my wire brush on the area, I discovered that they had been previously repaired, which was irritating because I hate body filler. I tried to get down to bare metal and then put some primer on it. Since then the rust has came through again and I did not fill the area back in so you call could see how large the area is. That and I hate body work. Besides the wheel well, there is a small dent on the fender, other than those two things the driver side is in good shape. The passenger side is a different story - there are several dents, some were there when I got the car, others I added :) There are about 3-4 small circular dents on the passenger fender, a linear dent on the front passenger door, and a scrape on the rear passenger door area. The bottom of the front bumper is pretty chewed up, and there is a light scrape mark above the driver fog lamp. The passenger fog lamp needs to be replaced. The hood is good with only small paint chips from road debris. There are just a few minor marks on the rear bumper. On the interior - I am a non-smoker so it won't smell like an ashtray. There are a couple minor stains on the fabric seats, the biggest one being on the driver seat where is appears something was spilled between the drivers legs. It just looks a little lighter in that area. In the rear it has a cargo mat and cargo cover. I swapped the donut spare for a full size spare (steel rim with a Yokohama tire, not much tread but good enough for a spare) - but I will include the donut with the car. Full size spares are always better IMO. The only thing is the tire cover sticks up a bit because of the full size spare, but it is unnoticeable with the cargo mat down. Whenever I had to replace something, I usually went with performance products when it made sense. New alternator 6/2011. The tires were new in January 2011, (4x Yokohama AVID ENVigor), most of the tread remains as they have less than 8k on them. I replaced the clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel (Exedy Stage 1 Organic Clutch Kit and the Exedy Racing Flywheel) in 2/2010. Replaced both front wheel bearings, new front brake rotors and pads 1/2010. COBB Tuning 3" STAINLESS STEEL Cat Back Exhaust 8/2008 (highest performance exhaust I could find while still relatively quiet). Mishimoto Aluminum Radiator 8/2007. KYB shocks all around in 7/2007. Before I got the car, some of the suspension was upgraded. I can say the sway bar for sure, but I don't remember what else the previous owner did. I'll tell you that the previous owner also had a race car and did some performance tuning to the engine/turbo. I can't tell you what exactly, but it's fast and sticks to the road. The previous owner said he replaced the timing belt around 120k. I always run Shell Rotella T 5W-40 (full synthetic) and K&N Oil Filters. I also have a Qwik Valve installed (instead of a regular oil drain plug). There is a sensor under the hood where the vacuum tubing connection broke off at an elbow. I epoxied it back and reinforced the connection - I guess the seal isn't always 100% and sometimes the CEL will come on. This is intermittent and it passed MD emissions testing in 12/2011 (with the repaired sensor). I'll show the buyer where the sensor is if they want to replace it. Right now the CEL is off and has been for weeks. It has a 6-disc CD changer (stock), the back-light on the radio has gone out so you can't see display at night w/o turning on a light. The clock in the dash also stopped working (I don't think it ever worked). The transmission seems a tiny bit noisy in reverse, and when coasting down steep hills (engine braking). It has no problem going into gears and I don't hear any noises while driving normally. It has keyless entry, but no alarm. I will include three key fob transmitters. Also has the OEM class II trailer hitch 1-1/4"receiver (L1010SS000). All the windows are tinted too. Current mileage is 187,941 but I will be driving this car until I sell it so it will most likely go up. $100 deposit due at auctions end, car must be picked up by Saturday 3/31. My zip code is 21791 and I don't have an issue if the buyer ships this car, however the buyer MUST arrange everything. Title is clear and in hand. Please feel free to ask me any questions about the car or auction! Remember, I am selling this with a low starting price and no reserve!
