Vehicle Detail

Beautiful 1967 300 SE Automatic. This car runs and drives beautifully. Everything works on the car except the small clock. Often these clocks just need a cleaning. It has a Europa TR radio which seems to be original (not a tube radio). It also has a big six cylinder engine and a large electric sunroof. It has manual windows and a cloth and vinyl interior in beautiful shape. The carpets seem to be original as well. There is a hole about 7" in diameter on the drivers front carpet where your heel rests. The car has had a repaint and looks great. There is rust bubbling around both of the German headlights. There is also rust around the passenger side rear wheel well and driver's side under the door (see photos). The mufflers have been patched and welded but it sounds great. There are imperfections in the paint but she is beautiful and very presentable. The chrome is beautiful both inside and out. The glass is great and all windows and vents work as they should. The heater works and the heater switches light up at night with the lights on, very pretty. The headliner is complete but there are some stains in the front and rear. They are not water stains and are not too bad (see photos). The previous owner put on two non-original outside mirrors. I removed the passenger side and left the driver's side on. There are holes (see photos) where he drilled to install the mirrors. I have the original drivers side mirror. I do not think the car had a passenger side mirror. The car was inside in Colorado from at least the 1990s. I bought this car from a friend of the owner as the owner passed away. The car is German specification and the gauges are in kilometers. Not sure of the mileage but I would guess it has approximately 135,000 miles on it. The car sat for a few years after the owner passed away. I had the gas tank drained and flushed; the oil changed, new plugs and points, new air filter; flushed and replaced transmission and coolant, topped up the rear differential oil and replaced the rear compensator with the proper Mercedes spring vice the hydraulic compensator. I added 4 new Michelin tires. The car is an absolute delight to drive and keeps up with traffic easily. Turn the key, run it for a minute or two and drive. The car has mechanical fuel injection. The car comes with original, owners manual, first aid kit, factory service manual and original spare tire. I do not have a Buy it Now price and will NOT disclose the reserve. This is a beautiful Mercedes that will bring a smile to your face and others every time you drive her. On Mar-25-12 at 16:12:26 PDT, seller added the following information: I also added a new battery that is the right fit and very powerful. People are amazed at the car's condition! On Mar-27-12 at 10:20:02 PDT, seller added the following information: After looking for a paint code the VIN tag states this car is a 1967 300 SEb. The original manual also refers to this model as 300 SEb.
