Vehicle Detail

For Sale: 2000 BMW Z3 Roadster 2.3 Please read the entire description before bidding. Manufactured June, 1999; 2.5 Liter 6 Cylinder M52TU Engine; Automatic 4 Speed  Transmission; Exterior Color –  Bright Red; Interior Color – Black;  Power Steering; Power Windows; Air Conditioning; Aftermarket Single CD Player /  AM / FM; Fog Lamps; Aftermarket Oversized 17” Chrome Wheels; 215X45RX17 Low  Profile Tires with less than 5000 miles; Tonneau cover, aftermarket wind  deflector (really cuts down on the wind in the cab at highway speeds) and new  seat covers still in package will be included. This car looks gorgeous with the exterior in fantastic condition. It drives and  runs absolutely excellent however there are a few issues that I have to mention: 1. The  inferior interior of the Z3 is a well known fact and this car is no exception.   The glove box has the standard “dropped down” problem as many I have read  about. The door handle came loose on the driver side door and I “glued” it back  on. The console cover around the shifter is cracked and both window controls  are “glued” in. However, all of these function fine. It’s just cosmetic.  Pictures are included. 2. The  top is actually in very good condition but I changed out the rear window this  last year and I got a little sloppy with the sealer. Also, the side badges are  faded but the fron and rear are in good condition. Pictures are included. 3. This  car has a problem with hot weather. By this I mean that when the temperatures  reach 90 degrees or more, the car is prone to “throw a code” and when it does,  it goes into “limp mode”. I bought a code reader so I can clear the codes once  it cools down and it is back to normal. I am 100% certain it is not  overheating. I am 90% certain it is simply some sensor that is directly  affected by the ambient heat – I honestly suspect O2 sensors. However, the  nearest BMW dealer is about 100 miles away and I live in a small town where no  local mechanic will work on it. This is the reason I am asking less than Blue Book value on this beautiful car.   If you are mechanically minded or live nearer a dealer and are willing to spend  a few bucks getting it checked out, you will love this car. Feel free to email  me with any questions. Here  is a link to a "walk around" video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tdMzSYNEHsY&feature=youtu.be Thanks for looking. $500 deposit by Paypal within 48 hours required from winning bidder. On Mar-24-12 at 10:25:41 PDT, seller added the following information: Additional note: You will also see the tape in the picture of the driver's seat. The seam is coming loose a little on both sides. This is why I bought the seat covers but I haven't put them on. Also, the "code reader" I mentioned will be included with the car.
