Vehicle Detail
1989 Dodge Shelby CSX, #127 of #500. 48,985 original adult driven miles. Reserve is set accordingly. Refer to NADA. You are bidding on a low mileage, adult driven, ZERO rust, West Coast, non Recarro CSX driven only to shows or special events. This CSX was bought from the original owner who purchased the CSX in Portland Oregon where it stayed for most of its life. Upon my purchasing CSX, I brought the Shelby to California. This CSX does have a few past Portland car show event accolades; plaque, stickers, owner entry pass & lanyard. This CSX is always garaged and covered when not in use. I will only take the Shelby out in good sunny socal weather. All the Shelby specific itmes are present. Trunk medallion, horn button, #127 plaque, gold csx dash pad insignia, both left and right lower door Shelby kick panel embossed emblems, Shelby boost gauge, Shelby valve cover. The steering wheel leather is extremly mint! I only wore a pair of leather driving gloves when driving the Shelby, so as to not get any oil from your fingers touching the leather. I installed the front strut bar. Current rim and tires installed are: Enkei Gold RS7 17" rims on 215/40ZR17 Yokohama Parada Spec-2's with at least 30K left on the set of four. IMO these are one of the best looking rims I have seen on a CSX that compliments all the gold decals and gold trim. There are (4) chrome ring plastic lug nut covers that will be included. These rings just snap to the inside lip of the lug nut openings to hide the lug nuts. I will take pictures later of the rings as they are in the CSX plastic storage tote. Fiberides are always bagged and were just taken out to shoot these pictures. Right now there is an older set of Goodyear GT+4's installed with about 20K left on those set of tires. I removed all (4) center caps from the fiberides to keep them protected. All (4) caps are individually bagged in their own ziploc bag. The caps are in the same plasitc tote, that is why you do not see them. I will pull out caps and take pictures of the center caps later. A 1980's Alpine pull out cassette with an Alpine 15W amp, and a 7 disc Alpine CD changer is installed under the passenger seat. New Polk Audio speakers were installed in the back and doors last year 2011. I still have the original radio that will go with the car. Only Mobil 1 oil changes. Original Monroe Formula GP shocks and struts are still installed. The new design headliner was professionally installed and is in perfect condition. All four Shelby front and rear floor mats are present. The rear trunk hatch cable is not broken and is working, latch itself may need lubricated due to sticking. If you desire a picture of the spare tire wheel well area, I will figure out how to open the rear latch without causing damage and take it. Believe me, it is clean as I have seen it a couple times when first bought it and I have opened the cover to do general interior cleaning. Again, this is a west coast Shelby. I have maintenance records in a folder that will go with the CSX. There are NOT too many of the 498 '89 CSX's left in this low mileage and condition. Paint is original and has never had a repaint. If you have any quetions, please do not hesitate to ask and I will answer. Legally: This is being sold As-Is. No warranty is implied or expressed. If your feedback less than 5, please email me before bidding. No trades are accepted. No tire kickers or joy rides. This is no joke -- Do not bid if you are not financial able. I will report non-paying bidders. Keep in mind, when shipping this car, special care needs to be taken because of the front ground effects. I will assist in help in any loading as much as possible. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of the auction end and the remaining balance is due within 3 days of auction end. Winning bidder must contact seller immediately of auction end for payment instructions, shipping, storage, etc...
