Rare Audi Coupe, the 5-cylinder motor on the smaller 4000 chassis. This model voted by Car & Driver the best sports coupe of its year. Steering and braking the standard by which I have judged other cars. Hi miles [mostly freeway] but no reserve. Well maintained by mechanic owner since 1985, with records kept and oil changed every two- to three thousand miles. It has almost never needed any repair, and I would not hesitate to drive across the country. Has gotten as much as 36 mpg. Issues: material on seats has holes, although that on the doors and panels is fine. One can hear a tiny exhaust leak at start up. Brakes, clutch, etc. all good. Newer replaced rubber spoiler. Has never run hot. The AC belt has been removed. This is because it uses an older coolant, and we don't need AC around here. Comp TA tires still good [higher quality]. All service is up-to-date, including valve clearances, timing belt, fluids. I need the room. Ask any questions early enough that I can get you an answer quickly. Buyer is responsible for shipping and all arrangements and costs associated with shipping but I will do what I can to meet the shipper [if used] and see the car off safely. You are welcome to pick the car up in person. There are several nice transport services. If you wish to drive it home, I will make sure it is ready. Car is sold with no warranty implied.
