These FJ40s are becoming difficult to find and especially in original condition. This FJ40 had a frame off restoration in 2007. During the restoration, the following was completed:-The Frame was painted with POR15 -The tub was sandblasted and painted with epoxy on the underside (Looks like a brand new Truck)-Single Stage Red Paint applied. (Paint is nice but not a show truck)-Every hinge and nut and bolt has been replaced, painted, etc. -Floor was sealed with heavy duty truck liner. This truck is a very low original mile, rust free truck from California. 83K original miles! The truck has its original motor and recently a new battery and starter were installed. Runs well. The 4WD works flawlessly. The Kayline top is in great shape and installs/uninstalls in minutes. The rare rear jump seats are included with sale. These are in nice unrestored condition. This truck comes with the rare ORIGINAL WHEELS AND HUBCAPS...all five of them. Also, the Big O tires are brand new! No radio. Only imperfections worth noting are i). This is a very rare 1967 CHEVROLET K10 (C10) SHORT BED FACTORY 4X4. Arizona and Colorado Truck SINCE NEW.
One of ONLY 1046 made from the factory in 1967 (try and find another one....they do NOT exist). In addition, this is the rarer small back window 1967 only made early in 1967.
This truck is said to be 1 of less than 30 with the short bed, 4x4, manual, factory tach and small window. Rare in dash factory Tach. COLLECTOR OWNED!
The truck went through a body off / frame off restoration in 2008 including:
-Body was taken down to metal and professionally painted
-Fully rebuilt Chevy Small Block (original)
-Rebuilt manual 4 speed transmission and transfercase
-Frame was detailed and painted
-New suspension, wheels and tires installed
-New Emblems
-New interior (Seat material has cracks, see pic)
-New chrome / bumper / accessories
-New Wood bed and cross members
Truck has the original Rockwell Transfer case and Warn lock out hubs from the factory (see pictures).
This is not a junk 4x4 trunk sitting on a blazer frame, this is factory original. Everything works as it should. Truck is VERY nice and clean. Obviously no rust. Door gaps and hood fit like new, body is laser straight. Only imperfection worth noting are a few (4 or 5) minor "dings" in the paint. All detailed in the Pictures below. Sorry for the dirty undercarriage shots but I do not have a way to detail it. Undercarriage cleans ups like new and there is obviously no rust or surface rust anywhere.
