This is a 1999 Subaru Forester that currently has engine damage due to a timing belt being improperly installed by a local mechanic. The car was in good condition and ran very well prior to the improper timing belt installation. The engine has not been taken apart to assess the specific damage but another mechanic suspects that it has bent valves. He believes that the engine needs to be replaced. It currently is not drivable due to the engine damage. The manual transmission is in great condition. There is a small dent above the front left tire and there are some minor scratches to the bumpers. Overall the body and the interior are in decent condition. I am selling this car because the mechanic that did the timing belt job is unwilling to fix the engine, and we cannot spend the money to replace the engine.
