The VTR is light and nimble and if you want to piss off some of the 600 and 1100cc bikes start passing them on the curving mountain roads and see if they can keep up. Not only do you get a great running bike but you also get tons of spare parts with it including a complete spare engine minus the starter, spare front and rear tires never used, body fairings and boxes of other odds and ends. While the bike is being driven the spare engine can be built for performance or racing. The engine on it now was rebuilt about 3,000 miles ago. I have no way to verify this but that's what I have been told. The bike runs great. This is a 1998 Honda VTR 250 with many spare parts included. It will come with a spare motor that when put up worked fine and since then the starter was removed for the bike to run. Spare front and rear tire never used. The bike just came out of the shop after having the carbs cleaned and rebuilt along with the petcock. It has a few dings and such including one on the gas tank but none of the damage is structural just minor cosmetics. One of the front shocks has a slight leak but the shop mechanic said the shocks had been rebuilt at one time and they are still better then the stock ones and he used to build VTR 250's for racing. It does not have the muffler on it and the mechanic tuned the carbs for it to run this way and it is not that loud at all, we never had a problem with the police and the sound of the bike.
