Vehicle Detail
* See below for new photos taken today! * I'm selling my 1970 Triumph Daytona T100R, the more agile/lighter brother to the Bonneville. It has a nice rebuilt 500cc unit twin. (Turner's best engine). The odometer shows just under 24,700 miles. I bought it about a month ago, but it's just too big for my tastes; I am used to mopeds and small Hondas, which I will be sticking to from now on. I purchased it at $3800.00 and spent much more for delivery, but my loss is your gain. It's a great bike and I don't want it to just sit in my garage when someone else can enjoy it as much as I had hoped to. It has never been dropped or wrecked. It had extensive refurbishment completed in 2002 by the previous owner at Raber's San Jose including: forks rebuilt, seat reupholstered, new tires, new wheel bearings, a valve job, cylinders over-bored with new rings/pistons, replaced lower end rod bearings and seals, a new sprocket and Diamond chain, replaced kick start bearings, peg rubbers, petcocks, etc. The clutch was rebuilt in 2006.In 2009 it was worked on to make it more user-friendly and was prepared for and passed Phoenix emissions testing. It's been updated to the popular Boyer Electronic Ignition, and had the twin Amal carburetors replaced with a new single carb and manifold (improving mid-range power). Tune-up and other work done by Tom's Ducati in Mesa, AZ. Small non-stock turn signals were added for safety reasons but can be easily removed or replaced with OEM ones. It had a new battery installed March 2011.I will include a box of many spares including the original Amal carbs and manifolds, a solo seat, gaskets, and literature such as a parts manual, repair manual, and more. It's a great rider that runs very strong and generally starts on the 2nd kick. Clear title; it has AZ plates but is currently in Northern California. I will respond via emails quickly, so feel free to ask any questions. I have no problem with the motorcycle being shipped, but the buyer is fully responsible for all shipping costs.
