Vehicle Detail

It is time to sell my studebaker that i had for 10 years.Having not driven the car since 2004 and paying to keep it indoors it is time to admit defeat and realize that i am never gonna make a streetrod out of it or restore it.I drove the car as a daily driver in 04-humble transportation with the 6 cylinder and the automatic transmission. The body on this car is good and straight, the rust is very minimal for a stude of this vintage. The passenger floorboard has a few pinholes and there is some rust showing in the typical frontfender vertical area. The windshield is cracked, all other glass is good, it has the tint option and operates freely.Chrome bumpers and window bright work are straight and free of pitting.I removed the carpet and doorpanels when i got the car and was tickled to find out did not need floor replacement.Like a true enthusiast,i replaced the important things first,a new set of tires and 2 new tail lights were installed. The trunck is rustfree and the lower doors are good. The Am radio still works and the brakes were done and still hold. The car is missig 2 pieces of belt molding, the impotant dytona spears are there are all interior pieces. The gas turned stale, the car did not start up for me.I don't have time to go trough the usual systems again seeing that a v8 conversion takes a little longer but makes so much more sense.I di have a 64 studebaker 259 engine available for 500 including transmission. This snub nose would make a great rod or beatiful restored original. The body is very solid with just a cosmetic freshen-up needed. For questions or to look at the car please call 214/707 9525On Mar-13-12 at 18:40:48 PDT, seller added the following information: hope this works.I posted some undercar and close-ups of critical points on photobucket here is the link.http://s1143.photobucket.com/albums/n633/1rockingd/
