This Mustang convertible is set up as a great driving car! Mechanically it runs smooth and strong, with only original 81k miles. It is an original Emberglow color (paint code V), with Emberglow and Parchment Pony interior (trim code 64). Cosmetically it is a “driver grade” car. Please see the full description below:Car has the following options and features.-289 C-code V8, top end rebuilt, new carb, new battery -3 speed Manual trans, brand new clutch/flywheel -Power top, works great -Power Steering-Pony Interior, rear seat original, fronts recovered-Deluxe seatbelts -Original Am radio -Wood grain steering wheel and dash-Spoke wheel covers -New gas tank -Original spare tire and jack, and boot top The engine starts with a flick of the key, idles at 700 rpm with no assistance, and runs super smooth and strong. This is a highlight of the car. Engine is all stock except for a top end rebuild. Has brand new single OEM style exhaust system. The car is very solid, with no rust areas or bubbles on the body. Floors and frame rails are original except for the passenger side. About 4 inches of the right floor was cut out, and new inner rocker panels and floor replacements were done, (see pictures of restoration). Not the prettiest job, but extremely strong as they let as much of the good original floors as possible, while adding in the replacement metal. Trunk is rust free. The tires are old and should be replaced soon. The paint is 10 years old, and is weak. From 7 feet it looks good, but there are number tiny chips and some dings. The paintwork was done to an amateur level and looks better in the pictures than live. Please don’t buy and then complain about the paint, if you have any questions please ask. It is a good solid car, and with a repaint it would be outstanding, or just enjoy it like it is. Pony interior is very nice. New carpets and front seat covers. Door panels are new, the whole dash is excellent, and all gauges/lights/switches work. Steering wheel has no cracks and all horn buttons work. The convertible top keeps the weather out but is aging. There is a 2 inch hole in the left side, see pictures. I only drive it with the top down in nice weather. The power top functions properly and quickly. The front window has scratches and a rock chip. The side glass is very nice. It could use new window felts ($72), door seals ($24), and a front bumper ($110). Driving this car with the 3-speed, and power steering is a pleasure. This Mustang convertible is set up as a great driving car! Mechanically it runs smooth and strong, with only original 81k miles. The engine starts with a flick of the key, idles at 700 rpm with no assistance, and runs super smooth and strong. This is a highlight of the car. Engine is all stock except for a top end rebuild. Has brand new single OEM style exhaust system.

The car is very solid, with no rust areas or bubbles on the body. Floors and frame rails are original except for the passenger side. About 4 inches of the right floor was cut out, and new inner rocker panels and floor replacements were done, (see pictures of restoration). Not the prettiest job, but extremely strong as they let as much of the good original floors as possible, while adding in the replacement metal. Trunk is rust free. The tires are old and should be replaced soon.

The paint is 10 years old, and is weak. From 7 feet it looks good, but there are number tiny chips and some dings. The paintwork was done to an amateur level and looks better in the pictures than live. Please don’t buy and then complain about the paint, if you have any questions please ask. It is a good solid car, and with a repaint it would be outstanding, or just enjoy it like it is.

Pony interior is very nice. New carpets and front seat covers. Door panels are new, the whole dash is excellent, and all gauges/lights/switches work. Steering wheel has no cracks and all horn buttons work. The convertible top keeps the weather out but is aging. There is a 2 inch hole in the left side, see pictures. I only drive it with the top down in nice weather. The power top functions properly and quickly. The front window has scratches and a rock chip. The side glass is very nice. It could use new window felts ($72), door seals ($24), and a front bumper ($110).

Driving this car with the 3-speed, and power steering is a pleasure. It accelerates strongly, trans shifts smoothly, brakes firm.
