Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is my 1970 Cadillac Sedan DeVille Hardtop. I bought this car after my deployment to Afghanistan. I used it as my daily driver and have cruised all up and down the west coast from San Diego to Portland, Oregon with no problems. It is in great shape for it's age and turns heads everywhere I go. Lots of smiles and thumbs up! It has the Cadillac 472 cubic inch motor and TH400, both were rebuilt by the previous owner and have about 15,000 miles on them. It has a mild Comp Cam and is very strong, lots of power and cruises at 60 mph at 1800 rpm. I averaged 18mpg in a trip from Sacramento, CA to Portland, OR. I change the oil at 2500 miles and have also added new spark plugs and 8mm Accel wires. The exhaust is 3" and sounds great. It is equipped with an air ride system and can lay flat on the ground or up to stock ride height for cruising and rides very nice the way a Cadillac should. Grant steering wheel and Pioneer CD Player with bluetooth. There are Kicker 6.5" speakers with tweeters installed in the kick panels, 6x9s in the rear in the stock location and two 12" Kicker subwoofers in the trunk along with dual Viair 480c chrome compressors and tanks. The interior and trunk have sound deadening installed as well as an Optima red top battery and heavy duty alternator around a year ago. Stock sized Cornwell all season tires with about 65% life left, brakes are about a year old and stop the big car pretty well. The negative things are few and far between. The car was repainted the stock Byzantine Gold by the previous owner but the roof is faded, the rest as you can see in the pictures cleans up very nice. It has rust in the typical spot on the bottom of the front fenders on both sides. The chrome is in great shape with no pitting. Brake lights and turn signals all work. The seats were recovered in a tan leather and are perfect. The dash pad is cracked as well as the driver side door panel. The rest of the door panels are in good shape. Window switch on the driver side works for all corners, but not on the passenger side. All the glass is in very good shape. Carpet was replaced by previous owner, but is not perfect. I replaced the trunk and window frame weather stripping from OPG about a year ago. I even have the original Protect-O-Plate. All in all this car is a great bargain for it's age. It's hard to find one in this shape for the price. I have clear title in hand, but it will need to be registered. I have set the reserve at $5,000 and I am firm at that price.
