1957 Cadillac Two Door Hardtop --- Chevy Big Block Powered Yes, this is it. My 57 Cadillac series 62 Two Door Hardtop. I AM RELSITING DUE TO A NON-PAYING BIDDER! The Cadillac was the old original beige and oxidized so I had it repainted. The interior is not that great it shows age and could be used as-is. It runs GREAT! The conversion is very simple to do. it uses te original Cadillac transmission mount and required short plates to be added to the front mounts so the stock Chevy mount could drop in place. YES, if you really wanted to put a Cadillac engine back in the car that would be very easy to do. Here is what it is all about: The Big Block 454 and T-400 were put in it by a father/son car-guy team. Dad was unable to finish the car so it sat there until I bought this and another Cadillac they had. Recently I decided to do a bit more work on it so it would be drivable. Brakes - tires - connect the exhaust Then decided to do a little cosmetic cleanup. What you see is a quick three week effort to sand, block, prep and paint the car I found that it at one time had a damaged left ¼ behind the driver door. We removed all the filler, then decided to repair it BETTER that what had been done years ago, we removed the rear window to get at all the area to repair- weld, and seal it up. With all that are apart, we cleaned up the package tray and under the rear seat. Put POR-15 all over all the metal under and in back of the back seat. Made some metal repairs to the rear window pinch molding. REPAIRED the rear foot wells that had been wet and weakend over the years So now it is MUCH better to look at and an easy project to play with from this point forward. Lights all work, and ready to drive. RUNS GREAT! The series 62 model has manual windows, but this one has the optional power seat. Of course it has power steering and brakes. The rocker panels are good, trunk floor is very good. The back seat floors are repaired. The California title is in my name. I am out in the shop playing with cars and dont hear it ring. I have it listed locally and have offers. I think I will see what happens here. The non-paying bidder caused a HUGE problem.. He played with me for so long that my other bidders had moved on to other cars and I had told some of the local guys it was SOLD...... Not a good way to do buisiness at all! Sorry, I had to give the high bidder every chance to complete the agreement. Now I can move on and we try again! For all you guys across the water, I have some cars ready for Norway, Sweden, Germany and Finland. I load the containers here up to four cars in a 40 Hi-Cube. I did have it for sale local and had someone interested in in right now for my asking price. My dillema is what shall I do? To be FAIR to the guys bidding, I need to let it run. But I did have a note saying it was for sale here. Tell me what I should do?
