For auction is a 1984 Jeep Renegade. This vehicle has been family owned since new and is currently titled to the original owners daughter. It is in clean, original condition and is driven regularly. It has 97,000 miles on it and is equipped with the venerable 258 cubic inch, six cylinder which runs well. The five speed, manual transmission shifts good and the brakes are in good working order. Four wheel drive components are in working condition and are used ocassionally. Final drive gearing is 3.31 for easy highway driving. All terrain radial tires are 235 / 75-15's and have 75% tread left. Original metallic Silver paint is also in good shape and has the expected small nicks and scratches. Factory graphics are intact and look good. The Silver and Charcoal was an unusual color combination at that time. There is only minimal surface rust. All glass is good and windows operate as they should. Latches, locks, doors and tail gate work normally and fit good. Interior is clean and upholstery is in good condition. The drivers seat is not original to the vehicle however. The top is in very good condition and is removable. Vehicle has many other factory options including; heavy duty cooling system, power steering, extended range fuel tank, chrome wheel package, heavy duty suspension, trailer towing hitch, etc... The options totaled $3500.00 for this model and a complete list can be seen as pictured. Vehicle is straight overall, has been sheltered all it's life and has no history of damage. There are some minor issues including: gas gauge does not work, engine noise when cold and thought to be an exhaust manifold leak when checked by a service center, black applique on right outer door coming off, right front fender trim damaged, surface rust below fuel filler cap which is common, engine vacuum tubing needs replacement and some light tuning may be needed. This is a solid, southern vehicle and would be an easy restoration or drive and enjoy it as is. There is a reasonable reserve price. Vehicle is being offered in as is condition and without warranty. If sold, a non-refundable, pay pal deposit of $250.00 is due within 24 hours of auction end and the balance paid by cash, certified bank check or USPS money order within seven days of auction end.
