MOST OF THE CHEVELLE'S IN THIS BODY STYLE WERE THROWN TO THE SIDE FOR 72 AND OLDER BODY STYLES AND NOW ARE GETTING HARDER AND HARDER TO FIND ESPECIALLY IN CLEAN AND UN RESTORED ORIGINAL SHAPE LIKE THIS ONE. THESE 78-86 EL CAMINO'S ARE FINALLY GETTING THE ATTENTION AND RECOGNITION THEY DESERVE AND STARTING TO GO UP IN PRICE. THE AFTER MARKET IS FULL OF REPRODUCTION FACTORY RESTORATION PARTS AND MODERN UPGRADES NOW THAT THE INTERNET IS SO STRONG. I HAVE HAD THIS FOR THE PAST 2-3 MONTHS AND THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IT IS BEING OFFERED FOR SALE. THIS 79 CAMINO IS A DRIVERS CAR AND 90% ORIGINAL. GREAT POWER, LOOKS AND HANDLING, BUT NOT PERFECT! :) BODY-THIS LITTLE CHEV HAS MOSTLY ORIGINAL PAINT WITH A OLDER REPAIR / BLEND OF THE PAINT ON THE VERY BACK AND AS YOU CAN SEE OVER TIME IT HAS NOT AGED THE SAME AND IS A SHADE OFF, BUT IT REALLY DOES NOT TAKE AWAY FROM THE LOOK OR COMPLIMENTS IT GETS. IT HAS NO DENTS, BODY ROT OR CANCER ON THIS ARROW STRAIGHT BODY. ALL CHROME, TRIM AND LIGHTS ARE ORIGINAL AND NEVER RE-CHROMED AND STILL LOOK REALLY GOOD. A SET OF STAGGERED ORIGINAL GM RALLY WHEELS HAVE BEEN ADDED TO GIVE IT A BETTER STANCE AND THEY LOOK JUST RIGHT ON THIS CAR. THIS CAR HAS A VERY CLEAN LOOK AND STANCE BUT AS MENTIONED ABOVE THE PAINT IS ORIGINAL AND OF COURSE FOR 33 YEARS OLD IT IS NOT PERFECT. IT HAS LITTLE STONE CHIPS HERE AND THERE ALONG WITH SOME SURFACE SCRATCHES FROM USE AND ENJOYMENT, THE ORIGINAL SILVER ON THE TOP IS VERY THIN AND FADED ALONG WITH THE PAINT ON THE LOWER END OF THE BODY ESPECIALLY BEHIND THE RIGHT REAR TIRE WHERE 33 YEARS OF DRIVING HAS KNOCKED THE PAINT AWAY AND HAS LEFT A THIN LAYER OF SURFACE RUST THAT CAN BE REMOVED VERY EASILY WITH ANY ABRASIVE. THE VERY REASON I SNAGGED THIS ONE UP IS BECAUSE OF THE CHARACTER SCARES MENTIONED ABOVE BECAUSE IT IS A HONEST CAR THAT SHOWS IT'S LIFE OF USE WITH NO QUESTIONS OR SHADY BODY WORK AND HALF DONE REPAIRS. I'VE HAD ALL KINDS OF CLASSICS AND THIS TRULY IS HOW I LIKE TO HAVE MY CARS, SO IT CAN BE DRIVEN AND ENJOYED THE WAY THEY SHOULD BE :) INTERIOR- THE INTERIOR OF THIS CAR IS MOSTLY STOCK AND ORIGINAL. IT WAS A LOADED UP CAR WHEN NEW WITH DELUXE INTERIOR TRIM PKG, A/C, CRUISE CONTROL AND HAS FACTORY TILT THAT IS VERY TIGHT WITH NO COLUMN ISSUES. SOME OF THE INTERIOR PLASTICS HAVE BEEN RESPRAYED RED AS A LOT OF THESE TRIM PIECES TURN PINK OVER ALONG PERIOD OF TIME AND SUN EXPOSURE. CLEAN PLASTIC ON DASH, STEERING WHEEL,GLASS AND HEADLINER. THE DASH HAS JUST A FEW CRACKS IN VINYL AS SHOWN. THE FRONT BENCH SHOWS SOME WEAR AND TEAR BUT VERY LITTLE FOR ITS AGE AND STILL LOOKS NICE. STILL HAS ORIGINAL SPARE TIRE SET-UP BEHIND SEAT, BUT IT IS MISSING STEREO AND A/C NEEDS NEW CHARGE AND BELT TO BE BACK UP TO COOL CONDITIONS . OVERALL THIS IS A VERY CLEAN AND RESPECTABLE INTERIOR. The older the car, the harder it is to define the condition of the vehicle. Most of our vehicles are specialty vehicles or are 15+ years old, and usually trucks. Based on the bidder's personal experience, some bidders will be overly pleased with my description and pictures, and others may feel that I fell short.
