Up for NO RESERVE Auction is my CLASSIC 1976 CHEVROLET SILVERADO C10 - F44 HD 1/2 Ton pickup.It is one of the CLEANEST trucks for it's age that I have seen in many years. It is ALL ORIGINAL & STOCK.A truly UNMOLESTED example of a RARE truck. It is the VERY SPECIAL "HEAVY HALF or BIG 10" with chassis code F44. Original Gold & Cream paint with original Gold upholstery in very good condition. Original Gold carpet is in good condidtion with a small stain from a spill of something on the passenger side. Only one SMALL SPOT of rust. (see photos) GVW rating 6050#. The Big 10 was promoted as a heavy duty two wheel drive half ton for the model years 1975 through 1980. Although it offered truck buyers somewhat more load capacity than the standard C10 half ton....it's REAL ADVANTAGE - and the motivation behind its conception- was that it provided buyers with the opportunity to purchase a half ton truck that was UNENCUMBERED by the dreaded catalytic converter and other smog equipment required on cars and standard half ton trucks. This truck has 122,9XX original miles on it. It was purchased new in Lubbock, TX, where it remained for many years, then a few years in Albuquerque, NM, and for the last year in SW Colorado. It has its original LS9 - 350 V8 with the 4 Bbl Carb. It starts easily and RUNS GREAT! Has the TH350 automatic transmission which shifts smooth. NO leaks or smoke. Factory A/C is all intact. I have the belt. It probably just needs a re-charge. Twin 20 gallon tanks with dash switch-over of tank & gauge. Has a 12 bolt 3.42:1 rear axle. NEW TIRES. Original hubcaps (1 is chipped). Only other bad things I know of are: original radio is there but does NOT play, dome light & cargo light do not work, minor chips and scratches.
