All areas of the body are rust free, except the battery box floor which has some minor rust. All closing panels have excellent gaps. The  front hood has never been kinked. The floors, longitudinals and battery box are all original.   All  trim parts are in good to excellent condition. All glass is in excellent condition with no chips or scrapes. Front and rear light lenses show no cracks. All chrome parts show good to excellent shine. Some of the original chrome trim parts show some slight pitting, but still have good shine. The original color was Aetna Blue (color code 740). Color was changed to a very attractive Black, which is a correct color for the year. Paint was professionally applied approximately five years ago and is in excellent condition with excellent shine. With such low miles driven, since being painted, the paint has only a few very minor blemishes. Interior The Tan interior is in excellent condition throughout with all seats and side panels recovered. A new correct German squareweave Tan carpet set was also installed. The new black canvas top was professionally installed and has an excellent fit with clear rear window. Rear window has a zipper, so can be opened while the top is in the up position. Electricals Headlights (low and high beams), tail lights,  brake lights, turn signals, interior lights, horns and windshield wipers are functional. The starter and generator are functioning fine. Generator is newly rebuilt. Speedometer, tachometer, oil temp and fuel gauges are functional. Fuel float is still the original dated 11/59, while the original fuel tank is dated 12/59. Oil pressure and generator lights are functional. The odometer is functional and currently reads 1704 miles. The battery is in  good condition. Engine and Transmission The engine is the original numbers matching 1600 engine (number 601013), but received fulll rebuild  by the previous owner, who was a professional mechanic.    The original Zenith carburetors were fully rebuilt also. The engine has less 2000 miles on it, since the rebuild was completed. The engine starts easily, holds a steady idle and accelerates smoothly with good power. Recent engine maintenance includes valve adjustment, timing adjusted,  new spark plugs, carburetors tuned and engine oil changed. The original 4 speed 741/0 transmission (number 33561, dated November 1959) is installed and shifts smoothly into every gear with no grinding or unusual noises. The gearbox is one of the very few early style single front mount gearboxes. Shocks, Wheels, Tires and Brakes All four  BOGE shocks are new. Steering is smooth and direct.   Front end was inspected and is nice and tight. Wheel alignment is correct and car tracks straight at high speed. During our freeway and city test drive the ride was comfortable with no unusual noises. New chrome 5.5" wheels are currently installed with attractive new chrome Super hubcaps. The four Pirelli P6000 radials (size 195/60HR15) are in very good condition with no cracks or uneven tread wear. The brakes are in excellent condition with recent adjustment. New brake hoses, new rear steel lines, new wheel cylinders and drums machined. The emergency brake is adjusted correctly, operates smoothly and holds tight.
