Up for sale is a nice 1955 Oldsmobile Holiday 88 2dr Hardtop. This has 73k actual miles and even has the same tires on it from 1955 (No joke). It has a hydra-matic transmission and has the 324 cubic-inch Rocket V8. The car sat undercover for about 1.5 years and in that time the speedo stopped working but the car has hardly been driven since. The transmission was rebuilt before it was stored but could use an additive that you put in the transmission that lubes all the O rings and allows for smoother shifting. Also the carburetor was rebuilt before storing but from being stored the seals dried out, but it starts, runs and drives but the carb could use another overhaul or maybe an adjustment. It does not have power steering but has a radio that is not working but all headlights, brake lights, dash lights, turn signals and horn all work and has a new battery. I would call this car in "GOOD" condition. It came from California and has been in Arizona for about 10 years. Has minor rust bubbles below the drivers door but nothing terrible that I can see. The interior is in good shape with no rips or tears but the carpet is showing its age with sag and rolls. The car has had one repaint to the original factory colors. It also has the original spare and jack in the trunk as well as rear factory air shocks. This is a unrestored 1955 Oldsmobile so if you’re looking for a restored vehicle this is not for you. This is a great car to put a few bucks into and have a Sunday or daily driver or a perfect candidate for a full on restoration. The car has been moved and is in a garage in a storage facility out of the sun and elements. I had alot of questions about undercarriage condition such as rust and so on but all I can tell you is I have walked around the car but have never been under it but do know its an original California vehicle. I have no other pictures and no way to take them since the car is in Arizona and I am in Washington. This is a 1955 UNRESTORED vehicle that runs and drives. Fluids may need to be changed and a few repairs needed but its far from a basket case. I did drive the car so I know what works and what doesn't. I repeat I have not seen the undercarriage but I know it came from California from day one so I have no clue as far as rust except what I have mentioned. Also the trunk looks good with it being painted as well when the car had its first repaint. The original jack and original spare tire is in trunk also and everything in trunk is where it is supposed to be. The car is being sold AS IS because if I knew every aspect and every detail on the car I would have listed so but because it was my father’s car and he is ill with cancer I only can get the little info I have provided. I do have receipts for work he has had done to it since he purchased it 10 years ago. The original fuel pump was disconnected but still mounted to vehicle and a electronic one was installed. THIS IS AN AS IS SALE AND DEPOSIT IS NON REFUNDABLE IF BUYER CHANGES MIND. IT’S A 1955 VEHICLE AND HAS NEVER BEEN RESTORED AND IS NOT PERFECT AND NEEDS A LITTLE TLC. THIS IS NOT JUNK BUT A NICE DRIVER FOR SOMEONE THAT WANTS TO PUT A FEW BUCKS INTO IT AND DRIVE IT DAILY OR A GREAT CANDIDATE FOR A FULL RESTORATION. IF YOU PLAN ON DRIVING IT FROM ARIZONA TO YOUR LOCATION I WOULD RECOMMEND NEW TIRES, ALL FLUIDS CHANGED, THE BELTS CHANGED (WHICH I THINK ARE TWO) AND MAYBE A CARB ADJUSTMENT OR FULL REBUILD WHICH IS $200.00.
