Vehicle Detail
For sale is my 1957 Desoto Adventurer hard top coupe. The car is in good condition considering its age.It has a rebuilt 341 fire flight hemi with TWO rebuilt four barrel carburetors. Both paint and interior have been redone before, and both are in poor condition interior more so than the paint. It has been a California car all its life and is registered in California still.Tags are current. It has a few small rust holes seen in the pictures other than that the car is very solid. The motor runs very well and so does the push button transmission. The speedometer works. The gas tank has been replaced and it also has been converted to accept unleaded fuel. The brake bellows was replaced with a brake booster pump to aid in slowing the car when I was driving it, however the brakes no longer work and will need an over-haul/restoration...along with the rest of the car. It has all original glass and all the electronics still work.Power everything. With the car comes three boxes of trim, gauges, radio, original hub caps and many other pieces to car. 90% of the cars trim and gadgets are still with it. The car comes with everything seen in the pictures. An after market Mark IV was installed in '57. It has original Black and yellow California plates as well as more current registered plates. The red top battery does not come with car. The Story: Grandma and Grandpa were the second or third owners. Grandpa decided to sell to the car. When grandma found out the same day that he had sold the car she went down and bought the car back. She owned it until 2005 when she let me have it for one dollar. I drove it around in high school after I had the motor and Carbs rebuilt, up until the brakes went. The car has been started frequently since then. Now it's your turn to own one of the few unrestored 1957 Adventurers.
