Built April 11, 1968 this is one of the first factory R Code Mustangs produced. One of only 1044 Fastbacks, this car was originally delivered with the following options as verified by Marti Report: C6 Automatic Transmission 4.30 Traction Loc Rear GT Equipment Group Power Disc Brakes This car is likely the finest example in the country today. Featured in two publications....October 2003 Mustang Monthly "Cobra Jet Perfection" and Modified Mustangs and Fords "Common Bonds" January 2010. The car currently represents the best of two worlds....classic looks and power with modern upgrades ...5 speed TKO transmission; Global West tubular control arms, strut rods and springs; Grab-a-Track front sway bar; Koni shocks; four wheel Baer disc brakes; billet 17 inch Magnum 500 wheels with radial tires. Accelerates like a big block, handles like a small block, cruises at 75 MPH in 5th at approx 2400 RPM with the stock 4.30 gears, and stops on a dime. Should the new owner desire to return the car to "pure stock" configuration, all removed stock parts are safely stored away in Restored Condition including the original C6 Trans. They are of course, included with the sale of the car. The car was concours restored at Paul's Automotive in Cincinnati, OH by Roy Honsaker 1999-2001. Less than 2K miles since restoration.
