What we have here is a 1964 Ford Fairlane 500 2 door Hardtop. This is a very clean car. Its a factory 289 2V car built in San Jose. Its rust free. I know this car has been in a garage in the Nevada desert since Jan 1993. I didn't do any of the work on this. I bought it pretty much like you see it. The motor is profesionaly rebuilt. The block # is C3OE B. It was rebuilt with a 303B cam, roller rockers, Edelbrock 600 carb, Edelbrock Performer intake, Mallory daul points ignition, aluminum water pump, new fuel pump, 1 wire alternator and HiPo K code exhaust manifolds. It is balanced. The motor runs strong. They only time on the motor is cam breakin and a trip down the block and back. The cam has a rough idle. The exhaust is all new with a K code head pipe and 2 1/4" tailpipes and mufflers. The mufflers are Thrush and sound like Flowmasters. The trans is a C 4 and is completely rebuilt. It has a B&M rachet shifter.The driveshaft has new U joints. The rear is the stock 8" open diff. This car has been rewired front to back with a Summit wiring kit. Some wiring needs to be finished. I know the brake lights, dash lights and blower motor don't work. It should be easy to finish. All the parklights, headlights and turn signals work. The wipers also work. This has a new fuel line installed but i dont like the way its run and would redue it. This car has no heater core, but the box is there. It has bucket seats and a console. I dont have the mounting bracket for the console so its just sitting there. The upholstery is good. There are some pin holes in the drivers side floor but it is solid and dosen't need patching. The rest of the floors are rust free. The trunk is rust free as well. The quarters, doors, decklid, fenders and everything else have ZERO rust. The drivers side fender is a Crites fiberglass fender. The passenger fender is steel. All the glass is good except the windshield which is cracked. The front suspension is completely rebuilt including the a Arm bushings. All the tierods and idler arm are new. The brakes work perfect and the pedal is high. The wheels are old school Cragers with spinners. The tire are good and the fronts are new. The front bumper is good and the back bumper has a dent. Both bumpers are not rusty. All the trim is on it accept the 1 quarter trim, 1 rocker molding and 1 gunsight fender trim. The trim is in good shape. This is a running driving car. I have not driven it very far due to its not registered. Its not a daily driver at this point but its VERY close. I would say 2 weekends doing dial in and its ready to go. Like i said it runs and drives but i haven't driven it far enough to know exactly what needs adjusting. Please e-mail with questions. I have a Nevada title for this. I reserve the right to end the auction early. The motors is bored 30 over. The cam is a Edelbrock # EDL 7122. Specs are: Duration: int, 224, Exh, 234. Lift: int, 496, exh, 520. The roller rockers are Crane Energizer 1.6. The motor is balanced. The exhaust manifolds are the reproduction 289 HiPo. The block has a HiPo # but i dont have anyway of knowing if it has the larger main caps. I have some of the receipts for the car but not all of them. The receipts for the motor i have total 3864.50. The receipts for the rest of the car total 1358.87. I don't have some of the receipts. I don't have the trans rebuild receipt. The receipts i have do NOT include the original price of the car. The carb on this is manual choke and the choke is wired open as the choke cable is not installed. The shifter is a B&M Quicksilver ratchet. I do have some of the paper work that came with the parts such as some of the wiring sheets. Some of the work i forgot to mention is the headlights are new. The front springs are new. The front shocks are new. I do have a few parts that go with this such as the drivers front eyebrow trim. Please ask questions before bidding! Thanks!!! I have posted 2 videos on youtube of the car.
