Vehicle Detail

I bought this car from Michigan and started on it as a hot rod project. It does need some bodywork, which is not a strongpoint of mine. It was treated with ziebart and also stored away much of it's life. The rockers are soft in spots, and there is a small hole in the top right fender maybe quarter sized. Both Quarters are missing some metal, but just the flat bit up to where it meets the top of the rocker. I think the replacement parts are available, but need welded in and finished to look good. Underside really didn't look bad, floorboards either. I drove it 100 miles home from Michigan to where I was living in Wisconsin. Previous owner replaced the gas tank, and part of the exhaust. I added 77 Hornet disc brakes, new front shocks and springs, 74 Hornet tail lights, A restored grill and headlite doors, and American Racing outlaw wheels. The Tires are a bit tall and rub easily in the back, and the front are a bit short. The wheels look nicer than what it had, but the tires just don't fit. I put a new master cylinder on it too, but haven't bled the brakes, so they are mushy. Because of the brakes and having sat around so long, it would need to be trailored, but it will start and run with some good gas in it. Amazing that it actually starts right up, just have to give it a prime. I have driven it around town a couple times, but it has no plates so I didn't take it far. The doors shut like it was new, and do not sag. All the glass is good including windshield too. The struts still support the hatch even. I hope there's a fellow AMCer nearby that has been looking for a Hornet hatchback. I think it is still a good project car, but if you just want parts, that is o.k. too. Buyer is responsible for pick up, whether you send a company to pick it up, or you come get it with your own car hauler. Forgot to add that I do have a good title for this car.
