1964 Mercury Comet Starts right up runs good, Drives Good. Body is fair, paint is dried and cracking, some blisters coming under paint. floors seem solid. trunk has some holes (see photos) There is a repair on the drivers side rear frame rail where someone welded a re-enforcment on. Photos are the best way to describe the car, if you would like more photos I can email you, you can also come and see the car if you are close enough. PLEASE DO NOT BID UNTIL YOU ASK ALL QUESTIONS AND ARE SURE YOU WANT THE CAR AND HAVE THE MONEY! I have a lot of extra crome for this car some will come with the car, and some is available separatly that I will be listing in anouther auction. it is not included in the current auction. THis car is driveable but I would not drive this thing cross country. Runs great, brakes are good, trany shifts fine, but this is an old car!!! On Jan-09-12 at 14:59:33 PST, seller added the following information: so far every thing I have checked electricly works, some of the wiring is a mess. but I have fixed organized and re routed most of it. I have only had the car a week it wouldnt start or turn over. the previous owner had wires messed up under the hood. I disconnected everything and just took a wire at a time testing it and putting it where it went then the car fired right up. headlights, tail lights and brake ligths worked imediatly. no turn signals yet, but it was missing the front bulbs. they may work when I get them in. wipersand blower motor worked also, heat works. power stering works, but front end feels loose, wonders a little driving it. I have only driven it 5-6 miles (no Plates)the wandering may be tires?? again just got it running and took it on a short test drive, will be airing up tires, and working out a few bugs to take it out again... I think it is drum but forgot to look. I dill check. I was told the motor is an 84 302 crate motor transplanted. but I have not checked numbers on it yet. I have a lot of trim for this car that I will be listing, all of the flat aluminum and lots of stainless. thie trim will be listed in a separat auction as soon as I can get photos. and sort it. also will be listig an extra quarter glass complete and extra quarter glass frame. call with any questions or come and see the car.
