Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Rare, old school 1964 Chevy g10 panel van. 108k and change on odometer and it still turns. Clean and clear title in my name. Registered and driven weekly. Old "ET" Gasser style uni-lug mags wrapped in new raised white letter BFGoodrich radials. Slight rake. Custom welded exhaust splits at into "y" pipe and runs straight into old vintage ribbed rusty lake pipes. Just did a ton of work. Recently, swapped 250 cu in. in-line six w/ approx 70k out of '66 short bed into her to replace the previous one which had thrown a rod. New motor runs smooth. No knocks, does not burn oil ect. Installed New clutch. New gear box oil in the Saginaw three speed. Rebuilt brake wheel cylinders. Has nice rebuilt Rochester carb. Also, replaced ALL wiring with new EZ harness and fuse block. All lights, signals, wipers, heater, lighter, speedo, and fuel gauge work. Horn had to be relocated to push button on dash and dome light and wipers are each on toggles but they work great. CD player installed and wired. Needs speakers, speaker wire ran. Newer battery and alternator. New voltage regulator. Half ass old style patina panel paint job is fading/ peeling/ coming off. Body is fairly straight with a few exceptions. A little rust here and there. One damage spot near front driver’s side door. Needs cosmetic love inside and out. Or leave it be if you want. Seats torn up. T- shirts cover the backs. One flat square side window is cracked and webbed. Should be inexpensive to replace. Non synchronized transmission. Must be at complete stop to put into first or reverse. And, there is a sweet spot to get it up into gear( first). Also shifting from first to second takes finesse. Clutch “forks” may need adjusted. Easy going from second to third or down shifting back into second. I usually start in second unless on a slope because first is a “granny gear” and you almost have to shift immediately. But, transmission is smooth and it stays in gear fine. No slipping. Clutch is strong and new too. It feels like it’s geared fairly low. I’ve been getting about 11 in town 15mpg hwy. That could be improved I’m sure. It is running slightly rich but could be leaned out. I had the carb tuned and timing adjusted/tuned after installing new motor. Radiator was pressure cleaned when motor was swapped. Seams to be a pihole leak very high up on it, above core below filler neck.. So, that said, much fluid isnt lost. Van could probably be driven quite a distance home if not bought locally as it has been dependable and runs well however it is old and anything can happen. It’s sold as is. Was hoping to keep this thing but once again it seams I need money. This description is very honest and thorough so please don't ask questions with answers listed here. No offense but, I don't care about the van you used to have ect, No B.S. No scammers. I'm not looking for time wasters or tire kickers. Don't have lots of extra time on my hands these days. This van is what it is. You don't see many of these on the road. Come love her.I won't ship it. Come get it and drive an old as is car home on an adventure or trailer it home and drive it in your own hood where you can used to it.
