1999 Ford Contour SVT Up for sale is a 1999 Ford Contour SVT. The car has 114K original miles. I have had this car since late 2002, after purchasing from the original owner with only 11,500 miles. The engine on the car is totally stock, with no modifications. Excluding the aftermarket wheels, sound system, and pedals, the rest of the car is also factory stock. Mechanically-speaking, the car has been well maintained. Engine runs as strong and smooth as on the day I first took ownership of it. The transmission shifts flawlessly and the steering and braking are still excellent. The interior of the car overall is in great condition. Individually, the floor mats are in excellent condition (they were replaced about a year ago with new old stock SVT mats purchased on eBay), as well as the interior door panels and dash. The leather seats are in good condition. (There is a small tear, approximately 1 cm long on the front passenger seat. The back seat has 1 spot of wear, about 1 inch by 1 inch in the center.) The car has all the standard Ford Contour SVT features: 2.5L DOHC engine, 5 speed-manual transmission, air conditioning, dual exhaust, power locks/windows, cruise control, factory ground kit, moonroof, leather, spoiler, and much more. The factory wheels have been replaced with 16" aluminum wheels and tires purchased from Tire Rack. Both the wheels and rims only have 3 months of driving on them, so therefore they are in excellent condition. The Ford sound system has been replaced with an Alpine receiver and new Alpine speakers in all doors. There are two Alpine tweeters that were added to the front door pillars. There is also a 6 inch subwoofer mounted in the rear deck lid of the car (above back seat, on flat area between seats and rear window), as well as a small amplifier mounted in the trunk. The factory pedals have been overlayed with aluminum racing pedals that say "SVT." The exterior of the car is the biggest area needing attention. Exterior paint is in rough shape with small and large scratches. There is a dent in the panel above the right-rear well, a spot of rust above the left side skirt near the left-rear door, paint on the spoiler is peeling. In addition there are 3 large spots of spilled white paint inside the trunk on the carpeted trunk liner.
