CONTACT JEFF AT 570 977 0741 . Up for sale is a true example of the muscle car era. These were the cars that made what American Muscle Cars were all about. Powerful V8 motors with 4-speed manual transmissions and eye-popping colors ! The Dodge Challenger was one of the greatest offerings from Mopar from 1970-1974 produced in limited numbers in a few heavily optioned performance and appearance packages. Up for your consideration and bidding is a 1973 Dodge Challenger Rallye that looks and runs fantastic with 93,230 original miles! This car retains it's ORIGINAL DRIVETRAIN !! This car's originality has been documented with the vin # and the fender tag. It came off the assembly line as a 340c.i. motor with a 4-speed manual transmission, with an open rear, super blue paint, black vinyl top, and and black bucket seat interior. Rallye package includes optional dash with tachometer and clock (both working), fender scoops with fade away striping, optional hood with scoops, and dual exhaust with square outlets. For verification purposes, the stamped numbers on the motor and transmission carry matching #s both ending in 3614 the same as the vehicle vin #. I can provide clear photos of the motor and transmission #s for further verification upon request. In the 1973 model year there was a total of 27930 Dodge Challengers built. Of 27930 Challengers, only 1676 of these cars were equipped with a factory four speed transmission. True muscle car shoppers know how hard it is to find a car with it's original driveline, especially when equipped with a four-speed manual transmission. So this is a rare opportunity to own a verified, documented, numbers matching car. The odometer shows 93230 original miles which is believed to be correct based on the Pennsylvania inspection sticker which was done in June of 2008 showing 93210 miles. The sticker expired in 6-2009. This car looks, runs and drives great. Power steering, power brakes and original pistol grip shifter make it a breeze to drive. The original engine was rebuilt by the previous owner and upgraded with a performance cam and lifters. I have the camshaft spec sheet and can provide all that information upon request as well. A Carter AFB performance series carburetor was also installed for much better reliability and performance. The Thermoquad carburetor and original air cleaner were retained. They are in good original condition and go along with the car. This is not a 100 point show winning Hershey car, but presents exceptionally well and would be a hit at any car show, and is turn key ready to be driven and enjoyed immediately. Since all restoration work was performed by the previous owner, my summary of this car is based on the conversation with him & a complete and thorough physical inspection. Please look at all the photos I have taken of this car. I even had the car put up on a lift to show the detailed quality, integrity and cleanliness of the undercarriage. This is a rust free car. The body is in amazing condition for the year. Everything works exactly as it should. Tires and brakes are in great shape. Chrome is exceptionally clean and shines. Paint is very clean and shiny. I have in my possession a clean Pennsylvania title for this car. I welcome the opportunity to show the car with appointment in person to any prospective buyers. Any questions please contact Jeff at 570 977 0741. Please check my 100% positive feedback and buy with confidence. Feel free to ask any questions. I have accurately and honestly described this car to the best of my knowledge. Accepted forms of payment are as follows: Funds in hand and a local pick-up always works best and is encouraged. A bank wire transfer is also acceptable. A bank cashier's check is also acceptable however the car and title will be held until the check completely clears the account and funds are made available in hand. Paypal can be used for the entire purchase however the buyer would be responsible for any related funds transfer fees. Shipping is the financial responsibility of the buyer. I will be happy to recommend shippers that I have previously used. I will also be happy to reasonably assist in the appointment set-up, pick-up and loading of the car. This car is sold in as-is condition with no actual or implied warranty. Again any questions please do not hesitate to contact Jeff at 570-977-0741. Thanks and good luck.
